Decent breakfast, although some of the options ran short by the middle of the breakfast period. Good sized room. Friendly and efficient staff. Everything was fine, although the HIE quirk of a single, pivoting door to close off either the toilet or the whole bathroom always seems rather ridiculous.

Friendly and helpful staff, tidy and comfortable room, nice breakfast, good value generally. TVs need netflix or some subscription for watching movies, documentaries etc.

The friendliness of the staff

The staff… Liam, Emma, Emma and Sandra were absolutely wonderful! Personable, energetic reflected, Holiday Inn express perfectly. They were so helpful and I enjoyed conversing with them. Exceptional staff will be back to visit them. The property was wonderful however, the bed was a little too hard for my back and too small for my husband and I. There was also this Indian couple there they have the same excuse for everything, especially during dinner time. On Christmas Day, we did not have a dinner because they said the only product they had was sweet potato curry.. I spoke with the staff the next day and Emma a couple days later who advised me that they had a fully stocked freezer all they had to do is go in the freezer and get the items out except for the Indian couple everyone else was wonderful!

Emma was fantastic she really made us feel welcome and was so wonderful with my little girl.

Nice sized room. Nice breakfast- was surpised it included pancakes! Nice friendly staff and free fruit was available at the desk which is always nice. I couldn't get the apps on the TV to work. Wanted to watch Disney Plus or Netflix but they couldn't connect. Not a dealbreaker though.

The room and breakfast were ok. Registered my license plate number at the counter while checking in, but apparently they did not add it into the system. This resulted in two parking fines and two 40 GBP of admin fees from the car rental company due to them having to forward the fines to me. They were able to cancel the parking fines, but even after countless emails the hotel refuses to pay for the admin fees even though it was clearly their mistake. Now I'm left with an 80 GBP bill, which is unacceptable.

Simple but good enough Ordered dinner for two to be then told that neither item was available. Bathroom door stuck. AC didn’t work properly.

Shaving point didn't work and no shower mat

Breakfast was an excellent range from full English to baked goods. The bar opening hours were a bonus and very reasonable prices. The room was very clean and housekeeping was prompt and thorough. I was assigned an accessible room which had lowered sinks and higher toilet - a minor inconvenience but unsure if this was due to booking through booking.com rather than directly with the hotel. The hotel was not full, so that couldn't have been the reason.

Comfortable room Traffic noise and very noisy occupants which holiday inn could control with regard as to slamming doors as door closers just need adjusting!!!

Perfect for the money, comfy beds all very clean, very friendly staff. I just wish they would swap the Cumberland sausages for Lincolnshire ones, otherwise an excellent choice of breakfast available.
