Tempest on Wanaka

Chris and Lin are great hosts, and the location is an easy walk into Wanaka. The breakfasts were delicious and we enjoyed having time to talk to the hosts about local sites, etc. They went above and beyond with extra touches to make things comfortable. We enjoyed that this is a true B&B experience, but just be aware that you should be comfortable staying in someone's home. You have complete privacy when you want it.

Great Bed & Breakfast with great host! We enjoyed having conversation with the host. The room was amazingly cozy and comfortable. Walkable if you enjoy walking to town.

Very close to Town Center. Large room, very comfortable beds, clean bathroom, Chris and Lin were helpful hosts. Onsite parking. Not a thing!

Chris and Lin are wonderful hosts. The breakfast was lovely with homemade bread, muffins, and granola. Fresh eggs and juice a big plus. Great coffee and nice to meet a few other folks from around the globe. My husband and I enjoy getting the opportunity to mingle with fellow world travelers and this kind of B&B allows for this to occur.

The room was just perfect. Breakfast was fantastic. Lin and Chris offer such warm hospitality.

We had a wonderful stay at Tempest on Wanaka. My wife and I truly enjoyed the home-style hospitality of Chris and Lin — they were friendly, supportive, welcoming, and we had many interesting conversations with them. The room was very nice and cozy, making our stay even more comfortable.

Location was great, homemade breakfast was such a treat, very roomy for 3 people. There was nothing that we did not like about the property!!!

Very nice B&B, owners were very nice and helpful. Good shower, water pressure and hot water. Good wi-fi. Provided good breakfast. No complaints.

Exceptional

Spacious comfortable room with comfortable bed and sitting area. Delicious continental breakfast with homemade breads and preserves and granola. Enjoyed dining with our hosts and the other guests so we could share experiences. Ten minute walk to town which saved us from having to search for parking downtown when it was crowded. Hosts Chris and Lin were very helpful and friendly with suggestions of what to do in the Wanaka area.

Breakfast provided was really very, very good.

The accommodation exceeded our expectations, the room is very spacious, everything was clean and tidy, the facilities are absolutely adequate. It is very close to the lake and the town centre, including restaurants, only a few minutes' walk away. Chris and Lin were great hosts, they made a very good breakfast with very good coffee. This accommodation is highly recommended, thanks to Lin and Chris
