The bed is great! It is not soft at all! The mattress is hard and it is great! Also the staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful! The main entrance looks different. And the room can be a bit more clean such as the sofa etc, the cushions on the couch smells a bit. Carpet you can see many stains

Great location. Stained furniture. Tear marks on furniture.

Room size was just huge. There are no hooks for clothes and towels in the bathroom.

The staff is very friendly and the hotel is in a wonderful location, the rooms are big and plenty of outlets to charger your devices. The lobby is comfortable as well. The hotel room could have been alittle cleaner, we moved the sofa so it was connected and we found some thongs and bandaids under the couches and other than that it was clean. The beds are VERY firm, if you love sleeping on a firm mattress you'll love it. Personally I wish there was a mattress topper to make the mattress alittle softer.

Our accommodations at Residence 1898 were wonderful. The apartment we stayed in was huge with a separate kitchen, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Each room was large sized, clean, and attractively furnished. The management was friendly and helpful at all times, the location was excellent for visiting the city, and having the coffee and tea available downstairs was a welcome touch.

We stayed 4 days and there were no cleaning even no one picked the trash, for one or two days that might be okay but for four days it was not nice.

It was a nice stay at Residence 1898, the Hotel is located in the center, a 15 mins walk from the Central Train Station and the Palace of culture and science or 2 min walk from the tram station which can get you there in just 3 mins. The room is spacious and got everything you need, from a nice big kitchen together with a big living room, nice big comfy bed and also a really nice big bathroom, it was a lot of space for one person and probably even 2. The staff were nice and helpful and there's also a laundry room which was useful. With all of that I'm giving a score of 7 because of a few reasons, as some other reviews mentioned - 1. There's a serious sewerage smell coming from the bathroom which was unbearable, and 2. My room was connected to another room by a quite thin locked door so at times i could hear loudly what was going on at the next room. Another thing was the really slow Elevator, waiting for the elevator and then going down/up from the 5 floor when you are on a hurry was sometime not so nice. If those stuff are getting care of sometime in the future, it's definitely can be a 10/10 hotel, but as of now from my experience the score im giving is 7/10.

Lots of road noise at night. Definitely an old hotel. Expensive for what you get.
