The location was perfect. The hotel was clean and well-maintained with a lovely ambiance. The front desk staff was friendly and super helpful. We did have issues with the servers at the bar and restaurant. The service was slow, and it took an excessive amount of time to get our food. That being said, the flatbread pizza was great and the prices were reasonable. The rooftop bar views are lovely. We would stay there again.

Breakfast was not served until 7:30 in the morning which was too late for my schedule. I did get breakfast the last day and it was very good. It was a great location and there was a Whole Foods within 3 blocks and a coffee shop across the street.

The hotel was ok - clean etc and staff as friendly but a bit spread thin. In particular the breakfast situation was not good...understaffed and ran out of coffee both mornings I was there so kinda not so good. Room was nice but barebones. They should also let you know on check in that you have to request to have your room tended to - there is a little sign in the bathroom mentioning this but otherwise did not know it was something one had to ask for.

This is a minimalist hotel and we absolutely loved it. What it "lacks" in square footage is made up for in outstanding customer service. Anything we asked for, from bandaids to luggage storage, was taken care of. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Good location

Checked in on Friday afternoon. Friday night we unfortunately saw a rodent run into our room from under the door gap. Absolutely mortified and screaming, we went downstairs and the night girl gave us another room in the basement and was told we had to be out by the first thing in the morning because that room was booked! It was dark and damp down there. At this point, it was late and we just wanted to get some sleep so we thoroughly inspected the room ourselves and put towels on the floor at the door for protection. The next morning we go downstairs to ask about our next room. The day-time front desk girl and manager were perplexed!! They had no clue what we were talking about and informed us they didn’t even have a room to give us but we could “hole up in this suite” until a room was ready. They then offered us a 25% refund. It was at this point that we were not going to pack and UNPACK for a 3rd time, so we demanded a full refund and got out of this place as fast as possible. Can’t honestly recommend staying here due to pest situation and the fact that we didn’t even have a “qualified stay”.

The only thing I could complain about is I think the beds could’ve been more comfortable. I felt like the beds were more on the cheap side and kinda hard/thin.

Excellent, very responsive staff. If you make a request they address it quick. Good attitudes and good experience will be back

The hotel is very cute and clean and the staff were friendly, however, we weren't able to get into our room at check-in. We were told someone would call us when the room was ready, and we ended up waiting an hour and a half with no call, before heading back to check. Our room was in the basement, which was not what was pictured in our reservation, so there were no windows and no natural light. We were right below the bar and the noise coming from the floor above was pretty intense until around midnight. Not a terrible experience but definitely could have been better.

We really enjoyed our stay there. Everything was clean and the staff was excellent! Would definitely stay there again.

We loved our stay at the Hive. Safe neighborhood. Great location. 15 minute walk to Lincoln Memorial. All of the front desk staff were excellent to deal with. We would definitely stay there again. And would highly recommend. The staff in their pizza area was very unhelpful. They kept ignoring people and were unfriendly when they finally addressed you. The people in front of us waited a long time to order. Finally just left without ordering, because no one acknowledged they were waiting to order.

The staff there was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
