the valet, door and desk attendants, and the housekeeping staff are all so incredibly kind!! the hotel itself is very beautiful and well kept. the bathroom was overall clean, however i couldn’t help but notice yellow buildup in some harder to reach places on the shower floor. the breakfast food and drinks are very good, however the wait staff isn’t the kindest. there was a private event happening in the hotel during our stay, so some of the amenities that were advertised by email after booking weren’t available (restaurant closed off for dinner, asked to leave the gym area to make room for a private fitness class, etc). all that said, the location is unbeatable and the vibe was great!

Love the Lyle and will miss now that our son graduated from Georgetown. Super location. Friendly staff. Food very good, if getting a table takes a tad too long.

I liked how close it was to almost everything and everywhere I needed/wanted to go. The rooms were clean as well as the hotel itself. I would probably stay again unless I could find another in the same vicinity but with actual gratuitous amenities such as fresh coffee and continental breakfast. I didn't like that there was no complimentary breakfast/coffee offered. Not sure if the gym was an "amenity" since I didn't want to pay to use the treadmill. Where there actually an gratuitous amenities?

The location alone is worth it — everything is so close that you can explore the entire city without a car. Dupont Circle is the perfect home base, with restaurants, the metro, and so much of DC just a short walk away. The service matched the setting. The staff were warm and attentive from check-in onward, and the bar was a real highlight — a great spot to unwind after a day out. The rooms are beautifully done and incredibly comfortable; the beds in particular gave us some of the best sleep we've had while traveling. We'll absolutely be back. If you're visiting Washington, this is the place to stay.

I love that they keep you hydrated! Great for sole traveling. A stones throw away from Dupont Circle and very walkable. I've already booked to stay here for my two upcoming trips.

We loved our stay at the Lyle! Our room was so spacious and clean and every single staff member was so friendly and helpful! Breakfast was made to order and delicious and it was so nice to have the bar/restaurant right downstairs! The location was great too!

Very nice stay. Staff helpful. Restaurant good food. Guys out front great! Don’t like 1 door on shower. Water too hot and when you turned it down there was less water and you were right under shower head and so close to shelf with toiletries you hit it. Towels too rough

The first thing that comes to mind was the friendliness of the staff-from the doormen to the front desk. The hotel was beautiful and in a great location. The bed and room were comfortable and clean. Nice and cool to come back to on hot days. The shower head was the only thing that we struggled with-from extremely hot to cold. When we turned it down to cooler, the pressure was less. Everything else was fabulous!

Felt very reassured that there was someone always at the front door and at the reception desk. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good and fresh!

We are very impressed with the room and quality of service and the amenities as well. Great location and totally enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend!
