The air condition in the room was old and making loud noise we couldn’t sleep well. Definitely it’s an old hotel and needs major upgrades. I will have to discuss the matter to who it may concern T Expedia.

The staff was wonderful and the location to GW is fantastic.

Wolde even rinsed my husband’s shirt on the departure morning after a coffee spill as our rideshare was arriving. Please don’t pass up this historic hotel Lombardy. Great location!

I’ve size room. Had a small kitchen in room. Great location near George Washington university.

Maybe this is all intentional stylistic choices made by the architects and building desinger to immerse you to rich history found in DC and what it was like in the late 1700s and early 1800s. I don't know. If you like the older era, darker, moody vibe, then you'll love it. But practically, there's no reason why it there isn't central lighting. Additionally, my key card didn't work well either so it looked like I was breaking into my room everytime I tried to enter. This is not to speak poorly of the hotel..truly. Just being honest about my experience. Beside the lighting + the keycard/door not working, I enjoyed my stay. The staff were super nice and accomodating and it was always quiet.

Just a couple of things needs improvement , lighting needs to be bit brighter, it was quite dark in the lobbies and elevators are not of sufficient capacity, we had to wait for at least 5-6 minutes to get downstairs.

Everything was good. Nice location for walking. Western market was awesome for cheap eats.
-
Really nice, well kept for old historic hotel. Bar was like an old speakeasy!

The smell was not good

Excellent location for metro use, food options and sightseeing excursions. Property felt extinguished, old school. Staff very attentive and friendly. Rooms very clean with excellent amenities. Would definitely recommend.

Clean and great location!

Historic, but clean. Great, convenient location. Staff was friendly/helpful. Got early checkin as requested. Parking: garage full and had to park elsewhere.

I liked the price, the location, and smoking outside the building. Let’s start at the beginning. The valet parking was very unorganized. The ladies at the desk said I could, the drivers told me I could not. The tv did not work, it was not a smart tv. The tub did not drain and had to shower in water around my ankles. The bottom of the tub was loose and needed to be replaced. The cold water faucet leaks when you turned on the hot water. I was in town for the MRC, when I returned after the concert I had the worst experience ever. The gentleman working treated me like I wasn’t supposed to be there. I had to go to the desk to get valet. Both men seemed bothered to help me.

Great location. Historical feel. Great staff. Very fair price, Had dinner in the premises and it was very good. The greeter/server was very pleasant. The only two negatives were the water pressure in the bathroom sink and the fact the towel rail was coming off the wall. Both easy fixes.

Very nice stay

I love everything from the valet parking, early check in, immaculate comfortable room and the location! Nothing, it was great!

Everything was very good to excellent especially the breakfast at their restaurant. The suite was very large, nice amenities, powerful shower, AC worked well. Smoke alarm randomly went off…it happens. Reason for 4 stars was a musty odor in the hallways and room or it may have been the cleaning agent they’re using?
