Lobby has a wonderful setting and the breakfast area is superb however the lobby really should be should be air conditioned. The staff was superb and helpful, parking excellent and location was ideal. I would stay at the Big Bird again when I make my trip back to Wawa. Lobby should have air conditioning.

The motel was perfect for our family (including our dog) traveling to Thunder Bay to collect amethysts (and try to spot Moose and Black Bears along hwy 17). The motel was a great, pet friendly facilty. Our room was large and clean, with vinyl plank floors, fridge and microwave. The free breakfast included the pretty common waffles, yogurt, fruit, cereal, bagels, toast, coffee, scrambled eggs (tasted better than most I've had), sausage and bacon.

Close to the highway. Decent breakfast. Breakfast staff kindly brought me waffle batter since the dispenser was broken and I really wanted a waffle for breakfast.

The beds were comfortable. Good location. Easy access from parking spot to rooms. Plenty of parking. The breakfast was pretty basic even sparse. Apples were the only fruit. Just whole wheat toast. One kind of jam. Terrible brand of black tea! There was no counter space in the bathroom to put toiletries, especially for two people.
