We had a great stay at the Hampton Inn in Whitefish. We arrived way too early to check in to our room but they kept our bags and provided the shuttle to downtown so we could explore and picked us up when we were done. We would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Whitefish

OK, actually my parents stayed in this room w/their dog, but I was in there enough to rate the mattress and bathroom. ;) The hotel is very clean, appears new, very well maintained, and everything you would expect. I actually stayed at Grouse - neither of which are walking distance to downtown, but Grouse _felt_ a lot closer because it's on a smaller road that feels connected - this hotel is just on the main 4-lane highway a mile before it goes down to a 2-lane walkable road. You have to drive downtown from either but this felt a lot less connected. As is usual in a modern hotel with limited staff - it took hours for someone to come to reset the TV to the right HDMI (you can't do it yourself), and the rear entrance (my parents are late-80's) which is next to the elevators has a locked door that I couldn't use because I didn't have a roomkey. In the resort style of Grouse Mtn Lodge with huge numbers of employees all doors are unlocked and many people around just as you need them. If it was a hundred less than Grouse, I would go for this one, but for my last trip it was a hundred more. Or pay 250 more and stay right downtown at Firebrand. Still, if you value new/clean/what you expect over anything else, it's hard to beat a Hampton Inn.

Loved the 24 hour hot tub and pool. Fun to relax after a long travel day after dinner! Breakfast was good as well!

The main focus for our stay in this Montana area was to visit Glacier National Park, but we also took some time to spend a couple of days in Whitefish. We enjoyed shopping and eating in town and we found the Hampton Inn & Suites to be the most comfortable and convenient hotel among all the hotels/motels we stayed in during our 11 day trip to Glacier National Park.

Great helpful and friendly staff. The free shuttle to town and the airport was a huge plus. My room was extremely clean and comfortable. Nice to have a pool, hot tub and fitness room. They were very flexible with check in and check out times and willing to store my luggage. The breakfast was limited and had few protein options. The heating/cooling unit fan would not turn off, even when I adjusted the temperature at the thermostat. It was extremely loud; enough that I had to have the TV at a high volume and wear noise canceling headphones to sleep.

The staff was a 12 out of 10. I travel often, the guest service was above and beyond and better than I could have hoped for. Grateful for their attention to satisfaction and service.
