Xi'an See Tang Guesthouse

The staff was very friendly and welcoming, the guesthouse has a pleasant and relaxed vibe, the room was cute and the beds very comfortable. The guesthouse was generally very clean. There is a washing machine on the roof that was convenient for doing laundry. The breakfast/ restaurant area is very cute and although we didn't eat there (only getting coffee) during our stay, the food smelled amazing every time we walked past. The location was very good, with old city market stalls just outside the door and a bar street with live music and chill vibes one block away. It was a very pleasant stay. The room had few electrical outlets and one was loose and didn't hold plugs well. Plumbing is older - the shower/toilet was clogged when we checked in causing the bathroom to flood during the first shower, but they were quick to fix this. If you have an older or disabled traveller, note it's a bit far to some rooms/breakfast area with many stairs.

The family suite was exactly as the pictures, so spacious and comfortable. The location was perfect!!! That street has all the souvenirs you could wish for, for a great price!! We wished we stayed longer since Xi’an was such a lovely city. It has a mini store and restaurant on roof.

This is a cool guesthouse just inside the historic old city. Situated directly on Shuyuanmen Pedestrian Street, just a few blocks from the South Gate of the Ancient City Wall, its location makes it a perfect base for exploring Xi'an in all directions. I had a King Studio room, and it was very nice -- comfortable, quiet, spacious, and stylish (particularly the creatively-constructed king bed). The on-site restaurant and common area are on the roof, along with a charming rooftop terrace that is especially inviting for good-weather days and evenings. The 24-hour front desk staffed with friendly folks is convenient and helpful. I would recommend Xi'an See Tang Guesthouse to fellow like-minded travellers without reservation. N/A

The location was great and the staff were friendly. The room was comfortable, but there were two major issues. First, the shower didn’t have hot water. It was barely lukewarm. I told the staff about it, but nothing changed. My second major issue has to do with the heating. It did not work consistently and, as a result, the room ended up being just cold. In a city like Xi’an, this is unacceptable in my opinion. Other issues include the sink drain, which was smelly and had mosquitoes coming out of it. I don’t think I would stay here again, but if you prioritize location and come in the summer, it might be a good fit for some people.

Near the city centre

The staff was somehow not very engaging, beyond the understandable troubles with a different language. I didn’t understand if it was something I did/did not, but I could not get a good feeling during our interactions. Anyway, they did not do anything wrong, so this is not a complaint. I am just curious to know how to get better for the net time!

Not so clean (gross) shower and bathroom. Tiny room with little space for luggage. Few and broken power outlets in inconvenient locations. Slow Wi-Fi.

Location was great and price is such a good deal for the city. It was very hard to find. The lobby is basically in a convenience store.

It’s a little bit tricky to find.

Location, near metro red line. Also many restaurants nearby. Cleaning and comfortable. Downstairs has minimart. In front of a property is art walking street. A bit small of smoked.

Could not be in a better location. Staff super friendly and accommodating. Rooftop access was awesome. Washing machine available Unpleasant smell coming from sink. Had to keep it closed and only open it when necessary which felt slightly unsanitary

Close to muslin quarters and city center. Clean. Basic reakfast but not so bad. Hard to find. No english speaking staff, only apps

Exceptional

Cheap and good location. The best thing was that the owner helped me make a reservation for 兵马俑博物馆 (Terracotta Warriors Museum), which required a Chinese phone number. The room was clean and good enough to spend nights. The room was close to the entrance and I felt guests were noisy, though it was not the hotel's fault.

Good

Right on a famous pedestrian street gives it an awesome location. You get a private room and washroom for very cheap. There was even a little sofa The washroom smelled like feces, no matter how often we flushed, and the water from the shower did not drain properly, so you basically had to finish in 4 min or smth.

Spacious room, nice bathroom with a separated shower. They cleaned the bins everyday. Location was really good, close to the belltower, the citywall and metro! Other guests were really noisy, it kept us awake and woke us up. I even saw them smoking in the room next to us and could smell that in our room.
