Red Lion Hotel Yakima Center

Good place to stay for the money. The location downtown is convenient and the pool was great.

We stay at least 2x a year at this hotel and absolutely love the outdoor pool. The staff is knowledgable and helpful. All white bedding and comfortable beds.

I liked the manager on duty after I was verbally assaulted by the front desk agent she came to the rescue and made my stay bearable. Everything… the room wasn’t worth $180 for one night, the lobby didn’t have AC… the front desk agent was very rude, unwelcoming and unprofessional. The worst check in experience ever!!

So many workers! I like privacy and felt there were always workers around. Not complaining- I’m glad folks have jobs and they are maintaining the property! The pools were great!!! Clean and well maintained. The rooms need some updating- my bed was caving into the middle. The room smelled like old cigarettes smoke but otherwise, great stay for the price.

Location was great with easy access to the convention center. Otherwise the property was ok. They had a small outdoor pool and a $10 breakfast. This hotel has been well used, just your average hotel with all the features you would expect. Not bad but nothing memorable.

I admit that I am overweight but for someone to say that at check in I almost walked out. Also when I woke up, and took my shower there were several small bugs running oround on the bathroom floor.

Clean dinning and bar the lobby was delightful and welcoming.

I don't know if it was because the room hadn't been used or because it had been closed up for a while, but there was a musty smell when we walked in.

The hotel is in a great location. The room was very clean and had all amenities. The staff was very friendly. The mattress was broke down on one side. And luckily the other side was very uncomfortable. The other side was good and I got a good night's sleep.

The location was very close to the Conference Center which was great. My room had no fridge, no paper towels and a very noisy AC.

AC kept the room cold and nice. The other room next to us, took three showers at 12:00am not to mention they were arguing. Then again at 5:20am and then again at 7:00 am something. Awesome! Couldn’t sleep that well. But room temperature was awesome,room service was awesome. Just not my day that day I guess. I’m sure all is different for all.

It worked well for our small dog as far as a place for her to go out and go potty. An issue with the ice machine in our building

Getting our room key to work was like playing Russian roulette—it worked sometimes, but most of the time it didn’t, making it frustrating every time we returned to our room. Customer service was equally disappointing. The front desk staff weren’t particularly welcoming and at times came across as snarky. Our friends waited over 30 minutes just to check in, and during that time no one even acknowledged they were standing there. The bar and karaoke area wasn’t any better. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes without a single employee taking our order or even acknowledging us. We eventually gave up and left. The one positive thing I can say is that the shower had plenty of hot water. Unfortunately, between the cleanliness issues, poor customer service, and lack of attention throughout the property, I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
