This was written by ChatGpt but with my inputs. I recently stayed at this hotel for 8 days and was truly impressed by the level of hospitality. The staff here are absolutely wonderful — friendly, attentive, and always going above and beyond to make sure guests feel welcome. During my stay, I had an issue with the air conditioning in my first room not getting cold. Without hesitation, the team quickly moved me to another room where the AC worked perfectly. This kind of prompt, no-questions-asked service really stood out and made me feel valued as a guest. The rooms themselves were very spacious and comfortable, making it easy to relax after a long day. While the hotel is visually appealing and well-designed, up close you can see signs of age such as small chips and cracks. Additionally, the shower head in my room had some calcium buildup, which caused the spray to go in a few odd directions. These are minor issues and in no way overshadowed my overall experience. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would gladly return. Between the amazing staff, great service, and comfortable rooms, I can easily recommend this hotel. Rating: 9.5/10

A lot of stain in the carpet. The decoration and the furniture placement make the room dark, with poor lightning, even the bathroom is dark. Booked this hotel to attend a wedding party, ended up i couldn’t do my makeup properly.

If you’d like to feel a queen at the castle, Sofia Boutique is the right place. The hotel is not big - 20 rooms, but there are a lot of space there - high ceilings, big windows, balcony, a lounge, restaurant- everything is beautiful and gorgeous. But the staff is beyond any expectations. William, the manager of the hotel, can organize practically everything. Their hospitality and care, attention and desire to fulfill any need of a client are great Sofia Boutique is situated not far from the center of Jogya, but the traffic is always so heavy you need twice more time for every trip. But it is everywhere there, not the fault of the hotel

The room is spacious and comfortable, and I love the interior design. However, it wasn't as clean as expected, and the toilet was leaking. Additionally, the interior and equipment showed signs of poor maintenance, with noticeable scratches and stains that made it look dirty.

The staff is very professional and kind. The hotel well designed, you will feel yourself in a castle. The rooms are not so cleaned, they have to make an effort to change some furnitures (some are broken), the sheets are note very clean, the carpet in the room was dirty as well as the armchair.

We were there to celebrate our 25th Wedding anniversary, looks like it's a new hotel as the surroundings were empty. Room was fantastic much to our liking. Staffs were friendly and nice. Nothing to dislike.

A wonderful hotel, really tastefully decorated. Large rooms and bathrooms, balconies with a view of the volcano and the greenery, from where the birds are calling. Comfortable bed. Large swimming pool. The bedding was dirty, it was impossible to tell if someone had slept in it or if it was just washed at a low temperature. It was strange because the towels were clean and fluffy. Overall, even the glass surfaces everywhere in the hotel were poorly cleaned. It's a shame because otherwise the hotel is really very nice and the staff are nice, including the cleaning boys. The second problem with this hotel is the inconsistent quality of the food. On the first evening, the dinner was good, but the cheese was forgotten in the Greek salad, which was brought to us in a small bowl and grated into a fine powder after warning. Perhaps it would be better not to offer this salad to Europeans and not get into this situation. Less is sometimes more. The next day at dinner the food was significantly worse and the cesar salad contained a thigh including the bone instead of chicken breast and was also undercooked. Again, we would recommend that you skip Western dishes altogether if you don't know how to prepare them. The last thing we don't understand is why does it always take so incredibly long to be served in a totally empty restaurant? And why did you always only have 3 coca colas and then they ran out. Maybe you don't know that the store is right behind the hotel, so it might be worth running out for coca cola or buying more to stock up, it won't spoil.

Location very far and hard to find

Good food, very comfortable bed, great shower, friendly staff. I paid for a room with a balcony so I could smoke outside of my room. Only on arrival were we advised no smoking, even on the outdoor balcony.
