Swiss-Belhotel Airport Yogyakarta

Beautiful hotel, large comfortable room with a balcony, excellent breakfast with lots of vegetarian options, charming large rooftop pool with terrific views of mountains and rice fields, very friendly staff, very convenient free shuttle to the airport. Highly recommended!

Almost everything Location

Location and friendly staff. Spa is good. Prompt and arranged the shuttle to drop off to the airport. Can make custom preparation for food for elders /vegetarians. May be bit far from city and drivers suggest to book in city for initial few days and book here only on last day. Initially I booked all 3 nights here and had to change because drivers reluctance to pick up and drop off for another 2 hours to and from city. Otherwise I would have stayed all 3 nights here. Management can consider to advertise taxi services as part of booking so that tourists don’t get misguided by the drivers.

The location is excellent! The front office--from the concierge to the reception staff provided excellent services as well. I had initially planned to go to the hotel on the airport train from Yogyakarta, so prior to my arrival at the hotel, I had requested the hotel to provide me with airport pickup. A concierge staffer by the name of Sandy personally reached out to me and told me he would be ready at the airport to pick me up, and asked me my ETA. I did appreciate it! I also used the hotel airport drop-off service; it only took 5 minutes to get to the airport so it was very convenient. As far as the room goes, I liked the room layout--it was not too big, not too small, it was perfect. They had assigned me a room on the 2nd floor; however, I preferred room on a higher floor, so they asked me to wait in the first room while they were searching for a new room and preparing it. I only took about 15 minutes to get a new room! The new room was perfect in every sense: from the unobstructed views of the mountains, the sunset, and the airport; to the cleanliness of the room and the bathroom; to the room amenities (slippers, toiletries, daily supply of 2 bottled waters), to the personalized welcome greetings on the TV monitor. I have to give 7 stars to the comfort of the bed and the pillows! I've traveled the world and stayed in many great hotels, but the bed and the pillows at Swiss-Belhotel Airport Yogyakarta so far have been the most comfortable of all! The Room Service menu offerings were excellent too. On the 2nd night, I ordered the Grilled Fish with Sambal Matah that was very flavorful, and the sambal matah was as authentic as the sambal matah you would have in Bali. The breakfast was good although they could have provided more fruit options. I also had a great massage at the Spa. Overall it was a great stay, and I would definitely consider Swiss-Belhotel Airport Yogyakarta again for my next stay close to the Yogyakarta airport. The lobby did not look enticing; the elevators are on the smaller side and were warm; the hallways were very warm.

Breakfast was good and abundant, but I wish it had more international options. I would have preferred more international options for breakfast.

The bed was comfortable and that’s the most important to me The breakfast staff in the restaurant were extremely rude and no smiles just regret to be working or serving me. Word of advice if you have personal problems, don’t bring them to your work because the hotel is a nice hotel but by their actions it made my stay a little bit regretfulI could’ve chose a hotel down the street

Clean room. Good breakfast. Convenient to airport. Pool looks fantastic, but it was pouring rain when we were there. All good.

We only stayed for a night and if you want to stay near the airport this is a good location. New facilities and clean, convinient for people who have a layover or early flight.

Close to airport, around 5-10mins drive from hotel. Staff service was good. The room smells mouldy when we checked-in. We ate dinner at the restaurant, overpriced for the quality we received. Two dishes arrived cold (rice with chicken and rice with beef were served cold despite being hot dishes). Local noodles was too salty.

Well designed, modern hotel. Near airport and goid value for money. Good sized rooms & nice bathroom with a goid shower. We were frustrated to be told that the pool was closed at 5.45pm due to lack of staff - but the signs said the pool is unsupervised, and there was a membee of staff there telling us we could not use it! Access to a pool was the main reason we booked this hotel, and it is unusual/unnecessary to close the pool that early in a big airport hotel.

Brand new hotel with spa and rooftop pool near the Yogyakarta airport. While far from main attractions, the hotel provides convenient overnight stopover for early morning flights and late arrivals. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Staff is helpful and friendly. Restaurant meals could be better, including breakfast. I also found pillows somewhat uncomfortable.

The room was very spacious, which allowed for a great work space. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, in online communication and in person.
