The water activities was really good. Buffet was ok. Need to change up options daily.

The property is nice but it is very isolated from other things to enjoy on the island. The pool and beach hours are terrible. I booked this location thinking it would be a fun place to come back and swim at after doing sightseeing and activities along the island. The pool closes at 6pm and The beach activities close at 5:20p so we didn’t even get to enjoy the main reason I booked this location.
-
Our whole floor and room had a terrible smell and there where lots of empty rooms and spaces where there could have been restaurants or shops
-
The staff was really helpful, we had a little problem with our luggage and they did everything they could and more for us It was about an hour and a half away from the city and the airport
-
No bell boy so we need to carry all of our luggauge to the room ourself
-
I didn't like that I fell sick on day 2 and missed the chance to enjoy the full buffet spread and the pool facilities. The Aircon wasn't if it is working properly, there is a remote to control 1 to 3 but it does not feel any adjustment in the room. I had to open the window to allow the chilling natural air flows in to keep the room cool.
-
There were blood stains on the mattress. The elevators were so busy that we couldn’t get on with our luggage and had to take the stairs.
-
Good breakfast selection but would be better if some change in menu could be met instead of the same selection every morning. no change in breakfast menu for my entire 4 day stay. executive suite unfortunately has a musty smell that didnt go away throughout my stay. Aircon not cold enough

We had a wonderful stay at the Grand Mercure Okinawa Cape Zanpa Resort. The kids absolutely loved the pools and easy beach access, while the peaceful public bath was a perfect retreat for the adults. Loved the ocean view from our Japanese style room. Tip: families should splurge for the Executive Lounge access—the desserts and kid play area make it worth it! Highly recommended for families looking for relaxation after a busy day.

Property is within walking distance to the beach. Nice, professional staff! Food was ok but nothing to write home about, but there are good places in the area to eat, to include a restaurant across the street. Food was just ok

Access to the Executive lounge through the day provided access to snacks and drinks. The heated pool and slides were enjoyed by the kids. The location was isolated from other main attractions.

The hotel pool area was large and had several options, including a lazy river and water slides. There was also a pool off to the side for adults. There is a small but nice beach just across the street. The lobby offers snacks and drinks (including wine and beer) in the afternoon for the guests which was an unexpected treat. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The breakfast buffet was one of the largest ones I've seen on island. It was great with a variety of options - it was crowded, but they turned tables quickly and got people into the dining area. For us, it was the perfect place for a stay-cation. Note that it is in a beautiful but out of the way area. If you stay here to see sights in Okinawayou would be removed from most of them and would need a car. We would come back here again to treat ourselves for a stay cation. I'm really nit picking here: The balconies are set up to have great views, but they are small. You also have to plan around crowds, for example, around prime breakfast or dinner times you might find a wait at the elevators. There were one or two restaurants within walking distance if you didn't want to eat everything at the hotel, but for more options you would need a car. This didn't bother us because we were there to enjoy the facilities (and we live in Okinawa and have a car anyway).

Our 5 nights at Cape Zanpa exceeded all expectations. We were travelling from Australia with two young boys who couldnt believe their eyes when they saw the pools and waterslides. In Sept/Oct it was hot but the pools and sea were perfect for day and night swimming until 10pm, note the pools close earlier (6pm) from the start of Oct. The lazy river was great fun for all. Plenty of loungers and shade options, and even a large adults pool which always had loungers available while we were there. Pool lifeguards were strict on kids not being in the pool without an adult. Staff were friendly and helpful, most spoke at least some english, although the majority of guests were Japanese families. Room was large and well-equipped for a family with 4 separate beds and a bathtub. Magical sunset views from the balcony. Great range of inclusions, from the waterslides, inflatable course and beach umbrellas to complimentary snacks and drinks (beer, wine, spririts and soft drinks). Restaurant across the road from the hotel was also excellent. Would def recommend having a rental car to make the most of Okinawa. We also visited the Churuami aquarium (best ive visited), went snorkelling at Bise (can rent gear there for a few hundred yen) and did a tour of the Orion Brewery. The only improvements from my point of view would be having more elevators - there was always a wait. Also more reasonably priced food options, but typical of large hotels.
-
Beautiful pool and the breakfast was great. The hotel did not communicate how breakfast worked and we ended up sitting for 1.5hr waiting for a table. Make sure to get on wait list in room.

Very expensive.

Only one person from the staff was very nice (Kim at the front desk). The rest does not even look at you when you request something. The hotel seems to be badly managed. Breakfast was very crowded and we had to line up for 40 minutes. It seems the infrastructure is insufficient for high season dates. The location is terrible, in the middle of nowhere. Everything at the hotel was overpriced for the value delivered. We were lucky to find a family restaurant located at a golf club within 5 minutes walking, with great food and spectacular service.
-
The hotel has some areas refurbished others are still being done. The bedroom was a bit old for the price paid. Not easy to get around without a car. The dinner buffet price was ridiculously expensive. You should consider all inclusive if you can, only 2 other restaurants around.
-
Happy hour drinks and snacks! Fantastic slides, rapids pool, close to beach with activities included - like inflatables!! Great time and great food. Over an hour to the hotel from the airport with bad traffic.
