Unfortunately, when we entered the room, there was a strong mildew/musty odor. We were extremely exhausted and emotionally drained because we were in town for my grandmother’s funeral and had to be up at 6:30 a.m. for the funeral events. Because of our circumstances, we simply didn’t have the energy to request another room. We returned to the hotel late that evening after spending the day with family and went straight to sleep. I also requested a late checkout, but the phone in the room was not working, so I had to go downstairs to speak with the front desk. I was informed that there would be a $25 fee to check out after 12:00 p.m. Considering how little time we actually spent in the room, I was disappointed that an additional fee was required for an extra hour. What really stood out to me was that another family member stayed at the Residence Inn down the block. I t was exceptionally clean and smelled fresh, which made the difference in air quality and overall upkeep very noticeable. The Hampton property could really benefit from an update. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would choose the Residence Inn for my next visit.

Good breakfast but the pool was closed and the ice machine was broken so I had to travel to another floor with a long walk to get ice

The hotel was great. Very clean and fresh. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was well done. Staff members were helpful and welcoming. It was perfect for our family if 5 while visiting daughter at Manhattan University. I gave it a 4 instead of 5 because the pool was closed and we selected the hotel because of the pool.

Staff was friendly. Everything was sparkling clean. Bed was comfy. Chaise was comfy. Elevator was fast. Ledge above the sink is convenient. It's five minutes from Aunt & cousin's. Ice machine broken on our floor. Breakfast ends too early for a weekend stay. TV options are limited. Too expensive

I BOOKED THIS PARTICULAR HOTEL TO ENJOY THE POOL WHICH WAS ADVERTISED ON THE SITE BUT ONCE WE GOT THERE THE POOL WAS OUT OF SERVICE!!! I COMPLAINED AND NO ONE HELPED ME WITH GETTING A REFUND OR DISCOUNT ON MY STAY! I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED! THEY CLAIMED THEY REMOVED THE POOL OFF OF THE WEBSITE BUT IT STILL LISTED ! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT JUST TO GET YOUR MONEY! NO EXPLANATION WAS GIVEN AS TO WHY THE POOL WAS SHUT DOWN ! THE ICE MACHINE WAS NOT WORKING ON MY FLOOR SO I HAD TO GO TO THE FLOOR BELOW TO GET ICE! UNACCEPTABLE FOR THE MONEY I PAID TO STAY THERE!
