Candlewood Suites York by IHG

Clean and comfortable rooms every time! I travel to PA quite a bit to see my family and we always stay with the friendly folks at Candlewood! Plenty of space to work for the room if need be and the WiFi is terrific...couldn't ask for a better combination!

we arrived late at night and the night clerk, a woman, was super helpful and friendly. room was very nice and had alot of room. could have had better pillows but all in all it was ok.

I called several times to inform the hotel that I would be there for my reservation but I would be late check in and then my flight was delayed so I called again to confirm I would still be there but around 2 am and they assured me several times that it was ok. The date on my room got changed so they sold my room so when I got there at 2am I had no room or place to sleep had to book a room for the night somewhere else at 2am that was extremely frustrating and were rude to me. Luckily Expedia refunded me the money for that night. The rest the stay was good. Room was clean hotel was clean and nice and I’m very picky.

Clean rooms though properly is old and rooms had old furniture

I didn't like i was double booked and still haven't received my money back yet. I paid Expedia and they still charged me

Everything and everyone was very accommodating we lost power in our home through a storm and the whole team took great care of us

Sheets had stains

Kitchen was very nice. I felt safe staying there and parking my car

Easy access

It was just ok I got bit multiple times by some bugs that were in the room. I killed about 10 flying bugs that i guess were biting me. Too late to relocate to another room. Will NEVER stay there against. The room was also not really clean… there was hair in the shower, drawers were dirty, blanket had stains on them etc

Great staff

While the room was clean and the bed was comfortable and the facility was above average is quietness, the suite itself was very shabby and rundown. For a suite there were no spoons, only one glass, and the toilet paper holder was hanging on by a thread. There was one ice machine in the building and it was not working. The freezer did have an ice maker that produced 6 cubes an hour. The room was overall dark, with only 4 lamps for the entire suite. Unless you were an IGH member You had to jump through many hoops to use the guest internet, and the way it was structured made you sign up for an IGH membership. It took me 15 minutes just to get on internet. Just a tired, sad looking space - it feels like for $100 a night, you should get a little more.

The cleanliness of the room very unsat. The top of refer and shelves. Where dusty bad. You even see with the naked eye. The iron board was broken. Amenities need some repairs. Dishes dirty and only enough to feed two people. Would be nice too have some more utensils. Bathtube stopper did not work to take bath. Staff was friendly and courteous though. Said that if there was issues in our room. There where probably other rooms dirty too.
