Friendliness of host and location

Actually the place itself is impeccable. An easy 10 if it weren't for one issue below. * Very clean * Huge apartment * Modern design with a huge sofa, huge TV etc. * Lots of equipment in the kitchen * Free on-site parking, and there is another private parking place you can move to after checking out Cons: * Main issue: This is one of the few places where the hosts pull down the rating. I don't want to be unfair to the hostess because she did a great job with the place, but she was a bit rude and didn't want to accommodate our slightly late arrival, even though we had a good reason (obvious when we came, I think) and the lateness was communicated as early as possible. I would expect her to ask us if we were OK instead of getting angry, or at least have a mechanism to accommodate late arrivals without being there personally. Also: she didn't understand the concept of babies not having to pay city tax (not a big deal, but strange). Other small issues: * The location is so-so * The bathroom cannot be locked (a privacy issue with members of more than 1 family) and doesn't have hangers. Also the shower section can't be closed. * The door locks automatically so if you come out and forget the keys it's a problem * There is a piano with a sign that says "Good vibes", but next to that there is a passive-agressive message saying you can't use it. Good vibes indeed.

Well-equipped, very spacious dining & sitting areas. Feel like home. Close to bus station. The host is particularly helpful when assistance is sought. Perfect wifi connection. Value for money. A shower head hanger would be nice, but that's not a big problem.

A very large one bedroom apartment on 2nd floor (36 steps on a wide internal staircase) within a large family home. The host’s son helped us up with our travel bags. It was spotlessly clean and had a washing machine, drying rack and double clothes line on exterior of building. The bathroom had a good amount of shelving, unlike many European accommodations. The host was most accommodating and whilst we had organised for early check-in, it ended up we were running late anyway. There was a small cute balcony off our room seating 2 people at a small round table and a “communal” balcony for both us and the other rental adjacent to us. There was a dedicated onsite parking spot - great! Major Supermarket 200m away using the rear access from the rental property. 20 minute level walk to the Old Town/City Centre. Mosquitoes detected. The windows did not have fly screens but we chose to leave windows open overnight.

Majda met us on arrival and she and her family were very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The apartment was really spacious, it was great to have a washing machine and a well-equipped kitchen. It was located very close to the bus station which meant great transport links, with coaches for example to Krka and Paklenica national parks, the bus to the airport and the number 2 bus into the old town. It was a short walk to Kolovare beach and other local beaches from where it was lovely to sit in one of the beach bars and watch the sunset of an evening.

It was a close proximity to the city and the owner and her family were really hospitable and friendly towards us. We felt welcomed. The drive in can be a little hard if cars are parked along the road, so do be careful when driving in.

The property is very well located for someone not looking to spend all their time in the old town but it is still only 15-20 min away walking, The distance to the nearest beaches and shops are under 500m and old town around 1km. The quality of the property is very nice and all kept very well inside and out. The kitchen is very well stocked if you plan to make some of your own meals. The hosts are very friendly and speak English well. Mrs. M, Thank you for your extra care with us! That we had to leave and return from this place. For our needs, there was nothing lacking. Our child got sick and we couldn't thoroughly enjoy our full time there.
