However, the air conditioner was not working properly during my stay. The room became very hot and suffocating, and I was unable to sleep well at night. I hope the hotel fixes this issue to improve guests' comfort.

The location of Hotel Novo Hotel is about 2 km from Taj Mahal East Gate. We had a confirmed, non-refundable booking for two rooms at Hotel Novo Agra, made 22 days in advance. However, on the day of check-in, we were informed that our reservation had been cancelled because we allegedly did not answer a phone call from the hotel. We checked our phone records and can confirm that we did not receive any missed call. After raising a complaint, the hotel arranged alternative accommodation at Hotel Ravi Palace (apparently owned by the same family). Unfortunately, the conditions there were unacceptable — the rooms and bathrooms were dirty, there were no pillows, and no air conditioning. Additionally, our booking included complimentary breakfast as part of a Genius membership benefit, which was not honored. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience due to poor communication, lack of accountability, and substandard alternative arrangements. Future guests should be cautious when booking here.

I would summarize my review under following points; (i) Location - Excellent! It is very-very close to the Taj Mahal, as-well-as the Agra Fort. (ii) Connectivity - Excellent! Only 10 minutes walk from Taj East Gate metro station. Well connected by metro-rail, bus and auto-rickshaws. (iii) Management & Staff - Everyone was very helpful, very friendly and very supportive. Mr. Govind Tiwari (I think he is the owner) in particular made us feel at home. The boys at the reception were also very hard working, cooperative and prompt. They helped us in every possible way. (iv) Amenities - It had everything you need at the end of a tiring day - nice, comfortable beds, a clean toilet and a good air-conditioner. They were nice, if not the best. One should not compare it with 5-Star / 7-Star luxury hotels although. (v) Food - Plenty of options available around, from the most affordable to the most premium ones, all within a circle of 1 Km. (vi) Locality - It is quiet, away from the noise and hustle-&-bustle of the main city, but yet tourist friendly. (vii) Value for money - It is a nice deal at this price-point. However, the following things need to be taken care of; (i) The TV and the intercom telephone in our room were not functioning. They said that the lines were damaged by rodents. (ii) No towel and toiletries (like soap, comb, tissue-paper roll etc.) were provided, despite the fact that they were mentioned in the booking confirmation. We didn't ask for these things either, as we prefer using our personal ones, but it was their duty to provide these things without being asked for. Although, it didn't appear that it was not deliberate. (i) There wasn't an ATM nearby. The nearest one was almost a km. away. (ii) To avail a shared auto-rickshaw, one needs to walk some distance. (iii) There wasn't an outlet / shop of original Panchhi Petha nearby. (iv) There wasn't a good shopping-mall nearby. The TDI mall, which was the only mall in that area, was good for nothing. (v) The Chowpati-like area near the selfie-point is outrageously pricey. They charged Rs.150/- for a single egg-roll which was available at only Rs.40/- on the other side.
