Marina Village Inn

Check in process seemed extraordinarily long. First came the processing of our payment arranged through Hotels.com wrnsite. Then came a security deposit fee. Then came the identify your car license plate. I understand step 3 to a degree. I’m not clear on why many hotels don’t apply a step 2 (deposit). Perhaps I’ve been staying in the wrong parts of town.

We had the standard room which didn't have a full view of the Marina, but we had a partial view that was still very nice. Rooms and lobby area were cozy, clean and well maintained. Appreciated that there was microwave, small fridge and coffee station; also a laundry room. Additionally we really appreciated the free parking! Stayed 3 nights and enjoyed staying at this little hotel. Only complaint would be on the second day, the bedsheets were not changed and they ran out of washcloths.

I loved that they gave me a water front view at no extra cost.

My wife and I had a great time. Please go to Treasure Island for an SF city view from the Bay! Make sure of nice weather and no/less fog.

Room was clean and comfortable. Nice walking path along water. Staff curtious and informative at check in.

Recently purchased by new owners who have clearly striven to rebuild this unique property. Mind you, this is not the Taj Mahal, but for a clean, convenient respite, this place is great if you're in Alameda.

Nice property near the marina. Very quiet generally although I could hear door slams late at night which could be due to lack of insulation between rooms. Very nice balcony space with a lounge chair and table which is nice if you get the room with a view of the Marina. Would stay there again if in the area!

It was frustrating. I had two main things I wanted to do: get some work done and watch the World Cup. The Wi-Fi was atrocious and I had to use my cell service, which was also pretty bad though not their fault. The TV kept needing to be logged in or would switch inputs or just stopped working. And then even though it was off, the TV turned on in the middle of the night, a bright white shining light, like a beacon for ships from Hawaii to find their way to the hotel. It made no sense. I had to unplug it to make it stop. Plus, the bathroom light was out. Just an unpleasant experience. Oh, right! Plus there were several barking dogs while I was trying to sleep at night. That was infuriating!

My room was sparkling clean! Quiet location with easy parking. Beautiful view of the marina. Less than 15 minutes from Oakland airport.

Great staff and super quiet here

I enjoyed the location and the hotel itself very much. My issue was VERY loud neighbors both nights I stayed, particularly the first night. The rooms are lovely but if you have loud neighbors, you will hear everything. And I mean everything. I think this could be easily addressed by letting people know expectations of quiet after 10pm and before 6am and having a way to easily address if someone is being disruptive.

Stay was pleasant. I enjoyed it. Quiet area during the night.

The location was beautiful and lots of parking was available! People were slamming doors and yelling all night. We experienced more than 5 different attempted room break ins. The security was so bad we didn’t feel safe sleeping. People were smoking marijuana below us and it filled our room with smoke so badly we had to pry open our window to breathe.

Reasonably priced, not a fancy room, but a clean and quiet room with a nice view of the marina. Plenty of parking and room was neat and clean. Staff were very nice.

Location Walls are thin , you can hear voices and noise from adjacent rooms

Being near the water As we walked in the receptionist was rudely arguing with someone else. So it left a bad taste. We stayed two nights only and both nights people were running in the hallway past midnight and someone music was on before 6 am and on top of that next door people were smoking weeds all night.
