Breakfast was quite satisfactory with a variety of options. Room was good, and convenient. While room was in a good condition and convenient I do not thing it was equivalent to the cost per night that the room was charged.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. It was fairly quiet and at one point we had the outside Terrace to ourselves. There were some lovely walks nearby. The room was spacious. I’ve had everything we need. The bathroom is also spacious. I’ve had lots of shelves for putting our toilet toiletries on. Staff were all lovely. We really enjoyed eating in the restaurant for breakfast with the beautiful views of the golf course. The breakfast itself was also very good. We asked for a quiet room and it wasn’t the quietest. We didn’t feel able to open our patio doors as people were walking by the pathway outside.

The bedroom was very nice, clean comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. Bar was good, not too expensive. Dinner and breakfast were ok, quality could have been better. The cook team don't appear to know how to fry or poach an egg, which is disappointing, both came overcooked with a hard yolk.

Very good evening meal Attentive staff. I got up early 1 morning and tge cleaner offered and brought me a coffee! Decor a little shabby in places.

The location and whole vibe of the place is wonderful. Lots of golfing history. Staff were very attentive, polite and friendly. Beds were comfortable. Slept very well. Tasty breakfast, ( had full English) in a very nice setting. Lovely bar and terrace. Didn’t have an evening meal but the food we saw being delivered looked lovely, good menu choice. The rooms were a little tired, areas of mould in the bathroom, lots of marks on the walls, all of the windows and frames need a good clean and vacuum. Curtains not the best quality. Loose on the rail. Could benefit from a small fridge in the room. Did see some exterior painting being carried out, so maybe a programme of works is under way. ‍♀️

Very spacious room with large comfortable bed, good ensuite, decent sized tv. Breakfast cooked nicely and there were fruit salad, cereal, croissant available too. Dining/breakfast room has a view of the golf area. Plenty of parking. Shower had proper water, not artificially softened. It's not far to walk back to Thorpness boating lake (worth exploring) etc, and probably 40min along the beach to Aldeburgh. View from our room was just the carpark,. The room could have accommodated chairs in addition to the sofa. Shower pressure varied, although the temperature stayed fairly constant. Stairs down to our room, I think you could ask for a room on the ground level to avoid that. No air-con, probably not often a problem.
