The location was absolutely phenomenal. They had a rooftop viewing deck that was amazing to watch the sunset and clouds. The buffet breakfast and dinner also had lots of options and was tasty. The staff were super helpful and friendly especially Eric who helped us a lot and got us a free slice of cake for a birthday celebration. He also helped us organize a sunrise tour, stargazing, and our return trip out of Alishan. The rooms were also nice and clean and had free drinks and snacks. There were walking tours right by the hotel and had shuttle services too. The only thing we’d love to see is if they added some chairs or other lounge furniture on the viewing deck so it’s easier to hangout up there instead of having to just stand.

The beauty The facilities were nice.
-
Very spacious. Good breakfast and dinner
-
Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful Very old building, massively overcharging you for your night in the park

Breakfast and dinner were excellent. The service of the receptionists and everyone were top notch. The shuttle service was very convenient and well done. The rooms were spacious enough. The bedding was too firm, and the room was hard to find initially.

The location is just amazing. Great view from the balcony. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. There are several areas in the room that appear dated and poorly maintained. For example, there were dirty spots around the faucet, and the balcony was extremely dirty. The table had visible spills that had not been cleaned, and the floor was covered with leaves and dust. There was also moss growing along the edges of the balcony. Overall, it feels like the space has lacked proper maintenance for quite some time. Given the price of the hotel, I would have expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and upkeep.

Location was superb, definitely the selling point of the hotel. Nice deck up on the 7th floor to watch the sunset. Thought the breakfast and dinner options were pretty poor for such an expensive hotel. Room was fine, bed a bit firm.

There was a leak in the bathroom and the manager moved me to the new building in a updated room.
-
Location and staff It is a little dated, but the location makes up for it
-
good location buffet breakfast - horrible, tourist horde certain dishes and then they are not replenished. there was no refresh of the buffet. food comes out at 6:30 am and can stay until gone (ie 3 hours)
-
Very convenient to see sunrise and also walk through the forest. The dinner and breakfast buffet were excellent. The building we stayed was in the old building. Shower door has a bit linking. Also we were not able to adjust the room temperature to be a bit higher. There was a portable heater but it was too noise.

It’s is the center of National park. Close to all trails,. There is a patio, however the access to it is awkward, and the patio is very very dirty , seems never cleaned, not suitable to step on . I understand the protection of nature environment, not allowed private vehicles drive in the park. However, hotel visitors have to park the car in Visitor Center, then take shuttle bus to hotel. Visitor Center has no reserved parking for hotel visitors, thus wasting times to find a parking space. With hotel shuttle services, drivers are excellent in upload/ download luggages, yet another steps added to check-in and check-out processes. I wouldn’t mind all of the above, if hotel is properly priced. We pay about USD 700 for a room, just not worthy of the price.

Location It’s very outdated and they have plastic outdoor seating.
