Yin Shan Hotel

Very close to Alishan The facilities are kinda old but fine, considering the prices of other hotels.

Location close to station and 7-11. Chinese breakfast at offsite restaurant was yummy and staff was kind. Family advertised with Mountain View only had a tiny slot window to hallway. Therefore no fresh air. Room was musty. Room had mold on walls. Bathroom had mold and smelled terrible. Lady at counter not nice. Gentleman at night much nicer Thank goodness only one night.

Very good location near the train station and restaurants. Room had a nice updated bathroom. Noisy. There was a squeak down the hall that went on all night and kept me awake. Also, there is no AC and the windows face west. People were smoking all evening and it blew in the windows which I had to leave open because it was warm.

The property is conveniently located in the park area, close to the sunrise train depot. Breakfast was at a restaurant about a hundred meters or so from the hotel.

It was a affordable stay in Alishan Park. Close to station for our sunrise train and train back to Chiayi. A little dated and the curtains were ripped. Only stayed overnight.

You are paying for location only here. It is the closest hotel to the transport centre and trains. The hotel was not clean, they did not clean the communal toilets. The hot water had a brown tinge to it. The rooms were very cold.

Excellent location and offers breakfast vouchers in a nearby restaurant.

The breakfast was excellent. A lot of choices. Late check in at 3pm.

Location, hydration station and hot water kettle Old, outdated and expensive. No heater or ac in the room. Mold in shower. Furniture are old and well used. Window opens to the hallway, window screen not clean. Bed linens feels cheap has 70’s look to it. It’s comparable to Motel 6 in USA.

Breakfast. Improving quality and number of selections for breakfast would elevate level of satisfaction significantly.

Breakfast was provided at a separate restaurant close to Alishan train station - free flow local breakfast (rice porridge and savoury sides) with soy bean/tea/coffee, convenient just after viewing the sunrise! There is a small tub in the room, shower with good water pressure and lots of hot water (but only between 4pm - 11am, I think). Room is very basic but clean with the usual amenities. How strict they were with the check in time of 3pm (we were there at 2:30pm). It didn't cause us any inconvenience though as we could leave our luggage at the reception area.

was close to the entrance to the park and nothing else to speak of. staff wasn't friendly. They don't greet you at all when you walk pass their counter at any time. The room was horrible; it has no windows. The only air vent was directly a hole to the hallway. Random people were able to walk up at night and closed our vent because we were chatting. The entire room for 6 had one outlet. It was a pain in ass to charge our phones and electronics. The extra comfortable we asked for was so dusty my brother had an allergic reaction to it. This place is in need of a serious overhaul.

Room is too small. Price is high for the level of comfort.
