SpringHill Suites by Marriott Amelia Island

The friendly staff, always make you feel welcomed and taken care of. The breakfast was nice and hot and had a vast array of foods to choose from.

The room was clean, staff went above and beyond to assist breakfast was fantastic and bistro coffee shop too notch. The only thing I would add is the concrete around pool be treated for ants after hours . We were bit several times as they crawled up our towels on the chair. We had no good drinks but those before us may have had sugary drinks

The food and service at the Bistro were very good.

Easy walk to the beach.

The hot water took a few minutes to get warm. The bed looked like someone you sat on it after it was made. The associates at the pizza/ice cream place were more interested in reading and showing things on their phones than wanting to help or take our order.

The sheets fell like sleeping on sand paper and the towels and wash cloth need replacing.

We never received the housekeeping service we were told we would receive. I specifically clarified at check-in that our room would be serviced every other day, so I expected at least the basic housekeeping that was promised. Instead, I ended up changing our own trash and having to request fresh towels multiple times. The lady at the front desk was very nice and tried to help. She told us to leave our dirty towels and trash outside the room and said the houseman would come pick everything up. Around 9 PM, I placed three bags of trash and a pile of dirty towels outside our door. When we checked out at 12:30 PM the following day, everything was STILL sitting there. Nothing had been picked up. The room itself had several maintenance and cleanliness issues as well. All of the shower supplies were empty — no shampoo, conditioner, or body wash. The bathroom mirror was cracked/broken, the shower did not drain properly and caused the bathroom floor to become completely soaked, and the bathroom sink drained extremely slowly and appeared to be clogged with something. We also used the pull-out couch and requested an additional comforter because the blanket provided in the closet was extremely rough and uncomfortable. Felt welcome and felt very clean from the second we walked in. The pool is amazing. The location is great walkable to the beach. We will definitely return.

Over all the hotel was good, pool was great for our four year old, pool bar was great for my wife and the beach is just a very short walk away. The room was great at a quick glance and seems well worth the money but two minutes into unpacking we find other people food left in the fridge, our child found a few snacks under the ottoman which she decided to try. Our room was an ocean view so you pay a little extra for per night, it might of been an ocean view at one point but now it’s just overgrown palm trees so that was a let down. Didn’t have it in me to complain since our room was “ready” three hours early.

The room was clean and comfortable, the halls were quiet and we never really heard any other guests. EVERYONE on this property was super nice/helpful. I would stay here again in an instant!

Roaches in room

Having sense enough to know that your going to pay for parking at most hotels in a tourist area. People writing reviews without sense enough to know that you’re going to pay for parking at most hotels in a tourist area.

There were some not so clean things about our room, but nothing alarming. Would stay here again.

Overall people were good, faculty was not. A shame with such a great location.
