The shower is very bad, the water pressure is terrible.

I find all the little details in and around the Social Hub Amsterdam West especially charming! I love the staff, the restaurant, the room, the lounge/entertainment area, the outside area—everything is so well thought out and neat. I would 100% stay here again and I’d recommend it to everyone! If I HAD TO pick out one thing that didn’t look that great, it would be the amount of mice/rats roaming around the property, but I understand that’s a Netherlands problem and not a Social Hub problem. Didn’t bother me personally. ♀️

It is very nice and modern, everything is refurbished and stylish, nice views, I really enjoyed my time here. Free laundry, exceptionally nice common area, the staff is friendly. Good value for the money, especially considering prices in Amsterdam Everything was good, it is a bit far away, but metro is 1 minute away

Nothing. Nada. Genuinely one of the worst hotel stays I've had. The AC in our room never worked properly for the entire stay — we complained multiple times, and despite promises, nobody ever came to fix it. We just had to sweat it out every night. On top of that, the bathroom door handle broke and we were left without a working washroom for an entire night. Someone finally showed up the next morning to fix it, but by then the damage to our stay was already done. To add to the chaos, our room had a massive structural pillar right in the middle of it, eating up space and making the layout awkward — not something you'd expect to find in a paid hotel room without any warning at booking. And the in-room phone? Completely useless. It's just there for show — it never actually connects to anyone. If you need anything, you have to physically walk to reception, which is in a separate building entirely. For a hotel, that's a basic failure. The cleaning for this hotel means bring new towels. Thats it. Nothing other than that. You stay there forever and they will not change the bedsheets. Would not recommend. Photos attached showing the pillar, the broken door hardware, and the "decorative" phone

Easy access from airport via train and metro. Auto check -in procedure was very easy and fast. We do appreciate the fact that our room was ready earlier and provided to us one hour before check - in time. The room was spacious and very bright. There was dust covering all the furniture of the room (tables, deks etc). The day before check out, cleaning service did not take place in our room. Thus no towel change provided, no tidying of the room provided (rubbish bins not cleaned). After informing hotel reception via booking chat platform chat, no repsonse provided by hotel staff!!

... What really soured this stay — and honestly ruined it — was an interaction with a staff member named Petro at the sandwich counter. We simply asked if our sandwiches could be warmed up, since reception had directed us there. Instead of a polite no, Petro raised his voice at us, saying this "is not the place" and that we "have our own sandwiches." Completely uncalled for over such a small request. When we escalated it as a complaint, the response we got only doubled down rather than acknowledging the issue. Honestly, my biggest takeaway: this hotel needs to invest in some empathy training for its staff. Basic mannerism, class, and just being a kind, decent person to guests — that's not a high bar. It shouldn't need to be said, but clearly it does. On top of that, the rest of the stay was riddled with problems. The AC never worked for the entire stay. We complained multiple times and nobody ever came to fix it, not even once. The bathroom door handle broke and we were left without a usable washroom for an entire night — someone finally turned up the next morning to fix it, well after the fact. Our room also had a huge structural pillar taking up space in the middle of it, which was bizarre for a paid hotel room. And the in-room phone is essentially a prop — it never works, so for anything you need, you have to physically walk to reception, which is in a completely different building. Between the way we were treated and the broken facilities, we will not be returning. Photos attached.

Good size room and bathroom.. Comfortable bed. Great staff at reception. More a student accomodation than a nomadic workers type of place like the Social Hub City version. Common areas in the accomodation were never clean. Bathroom sink was blocked possibly for a long time. But cleaning staff sorted it out quickly.
