Generator Amsterdam is a brand new designer hostel located in the east of Amsterdam near De Pijp. It was a former zoological building and is based in Oosterpark. The cafe/bar downstairs was lovely, the room overlooking the park was clean and the park was fabulous. An easy tram ride to the busier part of town. I would like to be a little closer to the action of the squares and cafes.

The building was excellent and the staff very helpful. A good bar downstairs and a good tram stop. Very clean rooms. The hostel is in the middle of a park so very nice. This morning a wonderful member of staff was very kind and supportive after I was threatened by a chap in my room as he had kept us up all night with his horrendous snoring. I will certainly stay here again. I am a Generator fan and have stayed on n many Nothing

Fabulous building and location. Great vibe, friendly staff Great views from room - love the full wall windows! Didn’t get room cleaned / fresh towels at all even though sigh was left on door. No glasses for water in the room

A beautiful location...a lovely walk round the park in the morning... The reception area could be alittle overcrowded at times
