Very quaint and affordable Bed was not very comfortable and the room was very small. Breakfast was included at the coffee shop across the street, but he didn’t open early enough.

I booked this hotel for my last nights stay in Amsterdam because I wanted to be close to this area which is one of my favourite parts of the city. The location is fantastic and its not far to walk from Centraal Station. The man that checked me in was very friendly and helpful and I was able to leave my bag there which he later took up to the room for me. They give you a voucher for coffee and a pastry from the coffee shop next door, both of which were lovely. The room was clean and the shower was powerful. The bed is very big. For the first part of my trip I stayed in a much more modern hotel so this was a bit of a change in comparison. Although the room was clean it felt a bit....scruffy and a bit basic, just a bed in a room no TV. There was a also a bit of a funky smell in the bathroom sometimes. I travel solo and my rules are I have to feel safe and comfortable. There only being guests in the building throughout the night and a member of staff not being easily contactable if there was an emergency did make me feel a but uneasy. Unfortunately it rained so my plan of wandering around that evening went out the window but the room didn't feel like a cosy, comfortable place to relax instead. I got woken up in the early hours by someone shouting but not sure if that was outside (probably was) of it it was inside the hotel. Maybe I was in a more basic room or it just comes down to personal preference. I really wanted to love this hotel :(

Nice neighborhood, about 15 min walk to Central Station. Lots of restaurants nearby. Nice included coffee and pastry next door. Like most Amsterdam hotels, be prepared for a steep set of stairs. The small double room was VERY small.

Good location Very small room not even a chair to sit on

Really enjoyed this accommodation. Smallish room which for Europe is not uncommon. We were a party of 7/3 rooms of which only 2 were ready when we checked in. Our hostess was amazing, very attentive and accommodating. Very helpful getting everyone’s luggage up the narrow staircase. Kept in touch with us to ensure we didn’t miss the 11pm cut off to pu 3rd room key. Breakfast offered across the street opened a little too late, 9am, for our purposes as we were up early our first day so didn’t eat. 2nd day we waited until 9 and received our coffee and delicious chocolate croissants. Owner of the shop was very friendly

The staff were incredible. They carried our heavy suitcases up flights of stairs, and were very attentive to our needs. They let us keep our luggage there while we waited to leave Amsterdam later in the day. The location is perfect with shops and restaurants all around. The room was very small but it was clean and comfortable.

The bed was very comfortable but the pillows were like bricks. The room was clean when we checked in for a three night stay. The next day, house keeping left two bath towels and took the wet, used ones but did nothing else. The the next day our room was untouched by house keeping? Totally unacceptable. Very small, poorly furnished room. Loud all night long. I asked for a hairdryer and was told to look harder in the room because there was one. There was not. No housekeeping services. Incredibly dangerous stairway up to the third floor.

Very sweet staff. Luckily our room was ready a few hours early (perfect after a long flight). Great use of space. Lots to do around the area. Would stay again. Overall it was wonderful. There are stairs and a large step up into the shower in my room. Didn't impact me but could impact guests with limited mobility.

    Very accommodating and friendly staff!

the stair is very narrow and steady, not suitable for big luggage

Location location location! The staff and owner were very helpful after an issue with the toilet in our room. Excellent customer care!

The staff was welcoming and friendly Quick check-in and check-out The room was clean Comfy double bed Free coffee and pastries ( In the coffee shop opposite to the hotel ) The shower definitely needs some improvement. It needs a door and it is also not suitable for someone who is more than 1m80 tall

The staff were fantastic. Right away I noticed how clean my room was. The process great. The toilet and shower/sink were in different rooms. That is understandable and wasn’t a big deal.

We stayed there for 1 night, and it was comfortable. We arrived late from the airport, and wanted to have a drink in the restaurant, but apparently it was already late and they finished their last round. The super nice staff decided to give us beers on the house, and it was heart warming. The shower and toilets are in the same space. Other than that, everything was just fine.

Best bed and I slept nine hours. I never sleep nine hours. It was the end of our 2 week trip and I never slept this well. More connections electrical in room would be nice

The location is awesome - the Jordaan neighbourhood is very friendly; the staff was super friendly and helpful. the breakfast options could be a bit larger and healthier - only 3 types of pastries were available at the coffee from the other side of the street, but plenty of coffee drinks

Amazing hotel!! The boutique rooms are adorable and very unique. Everything was exceptionally clean and the details in the room were very thought out and perfect. They offered a voucher for a free coffee and pastries (delicious!!) at a very fun cafe across the street. The location really cannot be beat! It a cute and lively neighborhood with great restaurants, cafes, and activities nearby and only a 15 minute walk to Amsterdam Centraal. The staff was exceptionally kind and helpful to make sure my stay was fantastic. I had dinner at the Calisto restaurant below and loved trying the taster surprise menu. To top it all off, I had a few hours before my flight home and the staff watched my bags and let me borrow a bicycle to end my Amsterdam trip on the perfect note. I was a female solo traveler and could have felt safer or more welcomed by the staff. I will certainly be staying here again next time I am in Amsterdam. The location is great and lively so the sound at night could be an issue. However, they thought of everything and even provided complimentary earplugs!
