High ceilings, clean room, huge windows, great location. That I didn’t have the time to stay longer here.

Staff don’t knock at the door before entering for cleaning, if you forget to put the the sign outside. Even if you don’t put it, I think the staff should knock before trying to open the door

No elevator, but this is Amsterdam.
-
It has a good location There was a construction going on an I had to woke up early wake up because of it. That was annoying
-
The location. Free breakfast Hairs of other people in my shower. The smell of food and oil in the room, by the smell of food and oil from the nearby restaurants/shops.

Bathroom small

This is my 2nd time to stay here as a solo traveler (last time in 2024) and the hotel delivers on what you need, super location, clean, friendly staff, 24/7 reception, while the rooms being quiet although on a very busy street, there was AC and heating in the room (but i did not use it so don’t know it its good or not) For me the only negative and watchout is the stairs, lots of stairs and very steep, so make sure you are aware of this as it is a historic building with no elevator like a lot of other central/oldtown hotels in amsterdam

The location it self. It was at the center and very convenient to everything. I like everything

Besides the suspicious stains, hairs and bugs in the sheets, the location was in central Amsterdam. The room was extremely unclean. There were hairs of all colors and sizes on the sheets on all layers. There were small bugs in the bed. The rooms smelled like mold. The hallways looked like the building was falling apart. You could hear everything in the neighboring rooms. When I told the staff about the hairs and bugs in my bed, instead of being accommodating and immediately changing my room, they asked me for pictures and to walk back the four flights of stairs and bring them down pictures. Then, after showing them pictures of the bugs and hairs, They gave me new sheets (which also had a hair on it.). The second day, the manager on shift offered me a new room and gave me a water bottle. This room was not as dirty, but the top layer sheets on the bed spread also had hairs on it. They reimbursed me for the stay, but still a nightmare experience. Would not recommend anyone to stay there.

Perfect location After just a night of stay I have got an unwanted present - 4 bites from bed bugs, very distinct and quite itchy. I now understand why the hotel changed their name recently, this is such a bad experience. Stay away from this place.

The hotel is centrally located and conveniently close to everything in Amsterdam. The location is well connected with several bus and metro stations within walking distance, and there is a wide selection of restaurants nearby. A special recommendation: do not miss the delicious churros right next to the hotel! My bed was warm and comfortable, my room was clean and equipped with everything I needed. Friendly and helpful staff I liked everything. Just prepare yourself that there are no elevators and try to pack light (I didn't, but it was okay)

n/a noise. room was small. bathroom was very small. toilet paper squares rather than toilet paper rolls-- never had that in a hotel before. bathroom shower had a curtain and was small.

Great staff too

The stairs are very steep. And can be dangerous. Otherwise the room, the beds, the view and the staff were very nice, very helpful and very aware of the difficulties of the stairs . Again good hotel and location. Thank you The stairs

Staff was perfekt, location perfekt Bed not comfort

The location could not be better, the hotel is located on quite a busy and crowded street, but the isolation in my room was excellent. Nice and friendly staff, I arrived a bit early but my room was ready so they were kind enough to let me in right away. Overall I enjoyed my stay. The toilet was really small and only amenities provided were shampoo and body lotion. The staircase is really REALLY steep, be mindful of that if your room is anywhere above first/second floor.

Excellent location with easy access to the station, tram stops, shopping, museum square and De Wallen. Overpowering damp smell in the room. Had to buy air freshener and diffuser but still couldn’t drown out the smell. Minuscule ‘bathroom’. Knees touching the wall when sat in the toilet. No separation between the shower cubicle and toilet area so water just went everywhere when showering.
