My stay was defined by a contrast between one genuinely excellent department and several serious service failures. Check-in. My Radisson Rewards Premium status was never requested or acknowledged. When I asked about the room upgrade associated with my status, I was told I was not eligible because the reservation had been made through Booking.com, and I was charged an additional fee. If third-party bookings are excluded from member benefits, that is a legitimate policy — but it should be explained clearly and proactively, not raised only at the point of payment. The upgraded room. The room I paid extra for was noticeably inferior to the standard room occupied by my parents-in-law. Whatever the internal categorisation, the paid upgrade delivered no perceptible added value. Safety and staff conduct. The smoke detector in my parents-in-law's room activated at full volume during the night. They were relocated to a second room which, as we were told, had a record of the same fault. Two rooms with recurring smoke detector problems is a fire-safety matter, not a comfort issue, and I would expect it to be formally documented and escalated. The handling was worse than the incident itself. My parents-in-law do not speak English. My husband called reception, explained this, and offered to translate. That offer was ignored. My mother-in-law described the staff member as rude, with no attempt to communicate with her and no interest in resolving the situation. Guests in distress at night, in a foreign country and unable to communicate in English, are entitled to a basic standard of patience and care. Bar. On our final evening we sat at the bar and waited an unreasonable length of time before any staff member acknowledged us or took an order. What worked. Breakfast and housekeeping were excellent — consistent, attentive and professional. Both teams deserve recognition, and they are the reason this feedback is not entirely negative.

This hotel is nicely situated in a quiet neighborhood within a short walk to the subway and trains. Plus Andrea, at the front desk, not only checked us in early but also upgraded our room and provided us with a very nice map of the city. Our room was spacious and the beds were really comfortable!

This is the second time we stay in this hotel and it never disappoints. Great location, wonderful service, very goods breakfast and comfortable rooms. I would definitely recommend it to all my friends and family.

Staff location breakfast Nothing

Room size. Too high-priced compared to comparable 4-star properties in Amsterdam and elsewhere is Europe.

Great location, ate breakfast out for less but breakfast looked excellent. I had a business meeting for a few hours on a Saturday and the staff arranged for me to use a very well appointed conference room. Property is very modern and has a nice restaurant and separate bar. Snacks and drinks were available to charge to room 24 hours. Room was very large and well pointed. Modern. The shower was in a very long but narrow bath tub and getting in and out was a little tricky. So I would not recommend for an older person over say 70 unless you are taking a bath!

Great location Nothing

The door knob was impossible for me to open. The door should have a handle, not that round knob, so that people such as myself with arthritis can open it. Very frustrating....and scarey. The first night our room was made up we were left with only 1 bath towel. We didn't discover that until the next morning. Even though we called to get another towel, it never came. Irritating.

Nice location in Amsterdam with windows looking out at a very nice area. Our room was lovely with comfortable bed and linens. Our room was too far from the main portion of the hotel.

Location Basic breakfast. Staffs are not that helpful in the breakfast area.
