The location is incredible. We chose to have breakfast one morning and it was delicious. Our favorite thing was to come back from a day of exploration and grab a cold drink (interest selection on beer) and an ice cream treat in the lobby. Considering that they are old buildings, air conditioning isn't available (or wasn't for the room we were in). An oscillating fan was provided and we felt safe enough to leave our window open through the night to help cool the room. Maybe schedule your stay when there isn't a heatwave!

The location was good and we were able to walk to many of the attractions that were of interest to us. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. The hotel had a few basic drink and food items to purchase which was helpful of an evening. The room was very basic and the hair dryer was fixed over the toilet (very odd). I didn't attempt to put in my contact lenses as the main bathroom mirror was also above the toilet. The room was clean, but a little worn and the coffee machine was the only way to heat water for any hot drink.

The room I stayed in was super small with no AC. It was not possible to stay there during daytime. Bathroom was so small that taking showers without making the whole place wet was not possible

The view of the canal Everything else Room was smaller than my closet. Need was child sized, room was HOT, no a/c and a small fan didn't help. Bathroom smelled like a sewer. Towel was thin and full of holes and rips. Room faced street which was noisy so couldn't keep the window open at night for cooler air. I actually forfeited 2 nights stay and moved to a better hotel because I could not stand one more night in that dump! Neither Booking.com nor the hotel would refund any of the 4 nights I had booked. The area is seedy and dirty. Yes, it's near some interesting stuff and the train station but it's grubby and loud.
