This is an authentic 17th century merchant house with its own style and history, located in ‘The Nine Streets', Amsterdam's best known and charming shopping areas. Dam square and the Royal Palace are a few minutes' walk from the hotel. The Anne Frank House and other well-known museums are also just a short walk away. Great location, comfortable room and excellent staff. It was in a great location walking distance to many museums and restaurants. It was right on a canal so fairly quiet. The staff was wonderful Paolo and Manuel were exemplary! They really took very good care of us! Helped us with dinner reservations and even chilling some prosecco for us. They made the stay worthwhile.

View of the canal. Room was dirty, small, had no a/c in a heatwave, and the cleaning crew often didn’t clean the whole room.

Beautiful traditional building, Excellent location. Good value. Great views. Comfortable bed. Lovely welcome treats. Was forewarned but stairs to level 4 are super steep. Furniture placement a little tight around window. Quite hot in mini heatwave. Fans were provided. No tea/coffee in room. Too difficult to go up and down stairs to small refreshment area on ground floor. Minimally manned reception.

The location The impossible stairs at the top of the building where our room was located. Our room was very claustrophobic, hot in summer, no view and poor value at the rate we paid.

Lovely welcome from staff with a bottle of prosecco. Outstanding location overlooking the canal & close to everything. Beautiful heritage building. The room is small & dark. Bedside lights didn't work & room light kept turning off & on when you moved on & off the bed. No tea & coffee making facilities in the room. Very expensive.

Great location, accommodating staff. Great to be able to leave bags before and after check out and to have a quiet self contained space in the centre of town. Very steep stairs for carrying the bags up.
