This hostel is located in shopping street Nieuwendijk in the center of Amsterdam. Flying Pig Downtown has a bar and 24-hour front desk. Amsterdam Central Station is a 3-minute walk. Each dormitory room comes with bunk beds and shared shower and toilet facilities. The private room comes with a TV to stream Netflix or Youtube, refrigerator and private bathroom which is fitted with a shower. A continental buffet breakfast is available every morning at The Flying Pig. You can enjoy a drink in the hotel’s bar. There is a wide variety of cafes and restaurants in the direct surroundings of Flying Pig Downtown. Dam Square is a 5-minute walk. The Anne Frank House is 14 minutes by foot. From Central Station there are direct links by tram to Rembrandtplein, Leidseplein, Museumplein and Schiphol Airport.

They close the smoking area after 10 pm.

Where do I start? This hostel wreaks of marijuana and piss. Everything is sticky, the beds are the worst thing I’ve ever slept in. The pillows? Bring your own. The AC turns off throughout the night so you’ll wake up with a 104° fever and a contact high.

Great location, friendly social vibe. No privacy curtain so light bothers all others in the room.

due to it being Amsterdam, the place smells mildly of weed, although they do have a dedicated smoking room. Twice in 2 days I found someone had puked in the bathroom. A bit loud as the whole place is a bar that closes at 3:00 pm but they offer complementary earplugs and if your dorm is far then no worries.

Excellent location. Very complete services When travelling with heavy luggage, a few stairs in the entrance and near the elevator can be uncomfortable.... The a/c and fan combination was useful during heatwave but not the best solution

Best Hostel I’ve ever attended. Staff were excellent and the facilities were great. Excellent experience altogether. Nothing at all!

The smoking room

Good location if you want to be downtown and close to the red light district and train station. Rooms were large and spacious making it feel more comfortable for being shared with so many people. Fun atmosphere!

Multifunctional rooms and other services are quite accessible and location to the city center was tremendously perfect. You have versatile options in order to have fun. Thank you dear FP Team. Beds are not suitable for 2 boys if you had chosen 2 people in double bed.
