WestCord City Centre Hotel Amsterdam

We were able to do off luggage 24/7. Staff were helpful. Breakfast was nice and convenient. Wi-Fi actually worked in the area. Air conditioning a plus! Size of rooms were small, there should have been some type of instructions on how to turn on and off the bathroom lights, not easy to figure out.

Great service. When I had trouble with the air conditioning, they gave me another room.

traveling from US, had no idea what to expect. Pleasantly surprised!

Didnt stay another day

Cost of breakfast was high. I had to pay for two nights even though I emailed and told them I wouldn't be there until the 22nd. I only stayed one night; arrived the 22nd and left the 23rd.

Other than that, everything was great!!

Amazing hotel very convenient location

Every thing was perfect, except the space of the room

Position is optimal, close to central station and Dam. Rooms are comfortable and quiet, even on a crowded street. The lobby is spacious and welcoming, with coffee machine and water dispenser. Breakfast is top-notch The bathroom was small, and the see-through sink didn't help - more towels for washing hair would have been great.

lobby and lobby staff very nice. Breakfast excellent. Our room had dirty cloths from previous guests under bed, did not like carpet on walls. Bathroom lacked privacy, door didnt close, also glass walls. hard to maneuver in small space.

the room is just small. everything else was good.

More electrical outlets needed

This hotel was wonderful, especially for the price. Our room, while small, was very clean, and was perfect for us. The location is very nice, making it a perfect landing spot while exploring the city. They were also able to store our luggage for us when we arrived prior to check-in time. Our city view was also gorgeous, especially at sunset! Everything was great for us! However, when considering this option for families, note that one of the buildings across the street from the back entrance does house some "red-light" rooms, and there can be rowdy groups.

The location and breakfast were wonderful. Staff were great and helpful. Comfortable beds and good bathroom. The only issue was our room -101. The window looks out to an airshaft and there is no light. The room also shares a wall with the elevator shaft.

Clean and quiet. The room arrangement was very strange.

Reception area and front desk staff were very nice. Room immediately smelled like mildew when we arrived, called to get another room, was unsuccessful as the hotel was fully booked (no fault of the staff). Reception sent the housekeeper up to investigate the smell. The housekeeper left a personal body spray bottle in the room. Got back after an evening, sizeable bug in the middle of the room on the carpet. Tried to use hairdryer after showering and it was broken/unresponsive. Woke up in the morning to a dripping noise, there was a leak in the ceiling (likely causing the smell). Luckily we didn’t have luggage or anything valuable under it. Carpet everywhere including on the walls so my allergies were going crazy due to the dust in the room. We stayed one night and all these occurred in less than 24 hours!

Clean and quiet Reserved for one adult, and room was significantly smaller than the rooms for two adults, but charged the same price.

Very nice location, very very helpful staff. No swimming pool, oh well.
