Clean room

Check in was a mess. Arrived at 3pm and room was clean. Check-in was 4pm.Tried to check in and was told (by phone call - nobody on staff present at hotel) that there would be a $30 charge. I refused and they relented. Room was small but hotel is well located. Coffee shop downstairs was nice. Did not clean room each day and could not get extra towels. Overall, just OK.

It’s minimalistic. All Pillows were too big and fat. Recommend to have one of each on each side of bed as Holiday Inn does. Great overnight stop. No elevator so if you have luggage, choose somewhere else.
-
The rooms were very small. Perfect for 1 traveler with a small amount of luggage. Maybe 2 with carry ons. Location was great. Walkable to good bars and restaurants. Bed was comfy.

The Highliner is a modern hotel with only a housekeeping staff. The rooms and modern and comfortable. Its in a great downtown location. Don't miss the Fire Island Bakery one block down K street.
-
Great location to Delaney Park and the finish of the Anchorage marathon. No elevators made it a little challenging with luggage.
-
The location of the hotel is very good - in the center of downtown. There is a cafe on the 1st floor of the hotel. Our standard room was on the 1st floor, but actually it was below the ground level. The window looks at the parking lot fence in a foot from it.. The sound proof is bad. You can hear all movements and toilet flashing of the people from the rooms above yours. There are no drawers for the clothes,

Great location & friendly staff
-
Nice place to return to at the end of a long day. The staff was very accommodating even ran a load of laundry for us so we didn’t have to find a laundromat.
-
Great location. Appears to be recently renovated. Rooms are on the small side but perfect for couples. No air conditioning but that’s not a problem. Slept with window open and ceiling fan running. It probably was one of the best nights sleep I have had in a long time. Staff were very helpful and kind. We arrived early and they secured our luggage so we could enjoy Anchorage. Walking distance to many great restaurants and attractions. On site cafe was great. $ I would definitely stay here again.

Like the service from the staff and clean room. And like the size of the room. Don't have air condition, don't have good blind/curtain to block the sun at night, this room is too noisy from road and entrance because of lagging air-condition

Excellent location, clean and tidy room. Newly renovated comfortable super king bed friendly reception staff made us feel very welcome Room was very hot glad it had a ceiling fan. Bit noisy but due to age of building totally understand the thickness of walls.
-
The room was spacious, clean and quiet. I did hear the plumbing from upstairs but got used to it. Super convenient location downtown. Only a few minutes ride to the railroad depot. I would stay here again.
-
A bit far from the mall which is the only place that i visited. Rooms were so small. Over the top room rate. Despite the fact that its expensive room rate, nobody change our towels or give us a bottle of water the next day. Don't have plan to return to this hotel.

Location is great!

The property is starting to show its age, but it has been very well maintained. It is a cozy little hotel. Check-in procedures were exactly as described in their communication via Expedia in my case. Not 5 star hotel but I will def be back. It has character and people are really nice. Great job.

Clean room and quiet, with a comfortable king bed.

I enjoyed my stay at Highliner. The rooms aren't big but the place has soul and very conveniently located.
