Great hotel in anchorage!
-
I arrived very late and was greeted very warmly. I got my room quickly and fell asleep right away.

Kids enjoyed the pool. The room was clean and the view of the city and coast was great. There’s a great breakfast spot within walking distance. And the staff were friendly and helpful.

The property was really central to some really great restaurants and meeting points for tours. I recommend some of the breweries and humpy’s as personal favourites. The room was clean. The bed was comfy and clean with great views the mountains The staff were also very friendly. For some reason upon check-in, the hotel charged USD$891 which is approximately AU$1200 just for incidentals which is ridiculous considering there’s no mini bar or incidents to be had. I’m now forced to wait 3 to 5 business days from that to be returned never in my life ever have a hotel require that much of an incidental hold for 4 nights. I also was consistently being electrocuted by the lamp and powerpoint beside the bed, sparks and shocks were had even by my phone when it was charging. When raised this with hotel staff they said they had fixed it and assured me everything was fine and then I was again electrocuted the following night. The response was to have the hotel manager take a look rather than an electrician. I feel like they may find someone less understanding when it happens again.

we went to a fundraiser at the Denina, the location was perfect. We asked for a view and the team did not disappoint, BEAUTIFUL view and a special treat. the literal only issue I had (aside from the price which was WHEEWW- but sadly standard for the area) was that the very kind gentleman at the front desk had a deep voice and heavy accent and my hearing is shot. So I could not understand a thing he said. but that is not his issue. I could have benefitted from a written script or something.

Some of the staff at the front desk was not very clear in explaining the options about upgrades that they offered. It seems that we a very late arrival they checked us in the following day creating an extra day. Very confusing. But the staff the following day untangled the situation. Alaska resorts, as well as restaurants today are staffed with foreign students. 99% speak a very good understandable English but some not.

The shower heads are too close to the wall in the shower. Not less it was the room I was in.

This hotel was absolutely amazing in every way! We loved it!

Nice hotel good views on upper floors

Comfy beds, spacious room, good location Even though not near the lifts there was a continual hum/vibration when the lifts in use....mind usually only 2 out of four lifts working! Room also had an interleading door ...a rather large gap under the door so light shone through and could hear the entirety of whoever in that other rooms conversation/TV! Breakfast was not well stocked and considering no children seen in 3 days there who serves cheerios, sweetened granola or frosties for breakfast??? Reception not particularly friendly or helpful Totally overpriced

Comfortable room Maybe we were exceptionally unlucky, but the front desk staff were unnecessarily rude to us. She looked us slowly up and down as we approached with a look of disgust and asked odd questions after confirming my reservation with my ID. She proceeded to treat us like riff-raff and put us in the worst room with a view of the ventilation system. I wouldn't care, but I paid $750+/night. Least they can do is be polite for a simple quick check-in.
