Best Western Premier Des Moines-Ankeny Hotel

The hotel was clean and staff were great! The area around the hotel was nice and it was located close to major highways. My only complaint was the WiFi on the TV and ice machines were not up to working.

Nice, clean hotel in a quiet location. Plenty of parking. I have long hair, so it’s sometimes difficult to wash in hotels. This hotel had a great showerhead with excellent pressure!

WiFi was inconsistent. Sofa bed was very uncomfortable and loud. Breakfast was just okay. The workers were kind and helpful. Overall not a great experience.

I like that the property was clean and relatively stylish decor. That said, a huge percentage of peopel enjoy a morning coffee with breakfast. A huge percentage of them liek half & half in their coffee, yet there was none. The only thing that was avaiable was sweetened creamer and I do not like sweet coffee. No huge deal, but for your guests.....please just figure a way to make some half & half available.

Nice rooms, comfy beds, clean, friendly staff.. however, I found not one but two little roaches in the bathroom. Also the TV didn’t work well-it had just a few channels that continuously lost connection. Netflix didn’t work either, and when trying to cast my phone to the TV, I found every room but the one I needed to cast to. Front desk wasn’t sure how to fix the TV issues and staying there for five days with children, this was an big inconvenience.

Not quite great: The ice machine on our floor did not work the entire time we were there. Going to the front desk was not bad, but I hated to interrupt them. There was some sort of loud fan or belt noise in the pool that made it not very pleasant to be in there. 14 year-old wanted to swim several times but didn't because of the noise. There are also very bright lights that flash periodically (I think CO monitors) - very noticeable in the dark.

The property was up to date, staff was pleasant and very helpful.

Clean, modern, gorgeous view. Would come back.

Chips in the furniture and wall in the bathroom probably could have used another coat. It would be most helpful if there was a weather station for the area insted of looking all the time at the phone apps to guess the weather. A couple of music sptations would also be nice. But management will probably say that it cuts into their bottom line.

Walking distance to restaurants. Right on a pretty lake which has a path to walk around. Nice outdoor seating area. The breakfast area was new with pretty views.

Room, shower doors and wall were not clean. Toilet was super hard to flush, handle was ready to break.

Coffee was very good and breakfast was as expected. The staff was very friendly at checkin and also serving the breakfast . It was a busy weekend for the hotel because of a softball tournament in the area and I would say they handled it very well.

Nice view of the water/pond. Shower was spacious and the pressure was Very strong. The 1 breakfast we ate was good. Good restaurants in walking distance. I felt the lightning was too dim, the wife disagreed. The room temperature wouldn't go below 74, even the desk setting it to 67 didn't cool it to the 71 we were wanting. The doors close hard/loud.
