To much noise from the traffic. First 2-3 days was really uncomfortable. After 3 days your body start to accomodate.

Very disappointing stay — not what I expect from a 4-star IHG hotel I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Antwerp and, unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing, especially considering the price of around €200 for the night. The first room I was given was in very poor condition. The beds did not look properly made, the sheets were visibly wrinkled, the air conditioning was very noisy, a wooden heater cover fell off, and the toilet was not clean. I have photos documenting these issues. I asked to be moved to another room, which the staff did arrange. However, the second room also had a very noisy air conditioning system, which stopped working around midnight. A member of staff kindly came to help me at around midnight, but unfortunately the issue was not properly resolved. In the morning, I woke up because the room was uncomfortably hot, even warmer than the hotel corridor, after already having slept very badly. In this second room, I also noticed dirt marks on the floor and found hair in the bathtub. Again, I have photos to support this. The restaurant was also below the standard I would expect from a 4-star hotel. The food was expensive, and the warm mix starters did not feel particularly fresh or up to the level expected in this type of hotel. The breakfast the next morning was also very disappointing. The hotel facilities were average at best. The spa was underwhelming: the wet and dry saunas were working, but there was no cold-water bucket or proper alternative for cooling down afterwards. I also noticed rust marks in some areas of the changing rooms leading to the pool. After such a poor experience, I asked for a late checkout in the morning, but I was told this would cost an additional €50, which felt unreasonable given the circumstances. I have stayed many times in 4-star IHG hotels across Europe, and this was a real disappointment compared with the standards I usually associate with the group.

I didn’t get any proof that my the security deposit came back to my account

Extremely expensive for what you get, super long check in and check out, very bad pillows, no proper light blinding curtains so did not get much sleep

The floor in the room was not clean and one could notice stains on the ceiling. The room got very hot in the morning (the sun operates early from the side that I got the room). The price is too high.

The staff at the reception was extremely kind and helpful. He really tried his best to assist us with every issue we had, which we truly appreciated. The breakfast was good, and the availability of free parking spots on the street in front of the hotel was a major advantage. Unfortunately, cleanliness was a problem during our stay. Almost every surface in the room was dusty. We informed the staff about it, but the cleaning afterward seemed limited to just wiping the floors. The bathroom was also quite dirty. Although the hotel breakfast was good, it was very expensive. Luckily, there was a nice and affordable breakfast place right next door.

Basic hotel but confortable All what you need to rest Free parking outside or 20€ with the hotel They only speak English or Dutch A lot of dust under the beds Pricey restaurant or water

It was my 3 time and the breakfast is always nice The wellness area doors were closed or broken smelly and you had to ask for towels by a crowded front desk and had to wait long because of new guests coming in

The noise and windows that do not open fully

The first room was disgusting and the wallpaper separated from the wall. Restaurant is crazy expensive with small portions. Beds are not comfortable.

Very good and cozy rooms, nice and welcoming staff We went there on Christmas time, and it was very busy, we couldn’t manage it to the spa, but it was just busy period due to holidays

There is no toilet brush in the toilet

I enjoyed the private parking and the access to the restaurant. The water filters are a nice touch and the breakfast was amazing. The staff members are very nice and helpful. I didn’t like the pillows; they were far from comfortable. However, the real issue was the spa. The sauna smelled of sweat, and not all guests were using towels. I understand that some people may not be aware of the rules at first, but I believe hotel management could display a clear set of rules at the entrance or, as in other places, occasionally check on guests.
