We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Rubenshof. We are walkers, so we didn’t mind the walk, but it is about 30 minutes from Antwerp Central, which may be a bit much for some. The hotel is on a tram line, though, so that is always an option. We chose to have breakfast out one morning and breakfast at the hotel the second, in their beautiful Art Deco dining room. It was terrific, and afterward we wished we had eaten breakfast there every day. Our room was very comfortable, and the beds were relaxing and clean. Our daughter was given a crib, which was perfect because she sleeps best on her own. The bathroom was spotless, and the location couldn’t have been better for our needs. We are art enthusiasts, so being so close to the museum was a huge plus, although in Antwerp you never really feel too far from anywhere. We loved our stay and loved the hotel. When we come back to Antwerp, we’ll stay here again. The only thing we’ll change is adding more days. Heck, next time we may never leave. Can't think of anything. It was great.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff; the decor of the hotel; the location isn't in the historic centre but it isn't far and the walk there, depending on the chosen route, takes one through very scenic and pedestrianized areas of the city.

The hotel is near MSKA, so a good place for a visitor to the museum. District is also full of restaurants and bars, etc. The common area - reception, hall, breakfast room are a beautiful example of art nouveau, inspiring before the museum and harmonising afterwards. Even better in reality, than on the pictures! People working there are exceptionally friendly! The room I stayed had no air conditioner and during the heatwave with outside temperatures well above + 30, it was a bit too warm inside as well.

Staff were very accommodating and friendly, clear instructions on how to check in after reception hours and always a lovely breakfast. Bed was a bit too soft for our liking, we noticed a mattress topper which you can remove if you prefer. Rooms were very hot, it was an incredibly hot bank holiday weekend so we kept the curtains closed and windows open during the day/night, but even so it was difficult to sleep due to the heat.

The people working here are very kind, and the breakfast is very versatile and tasty! The mattress was too soft, and the beautiful entry hall downstairs closes at 16h. It is really a pity that you cannot use it to read, chill in the evening.
