Antwerp City Hostel

If you're very young, don't care about hygiene, noise, you're coming to party and will be back at the hostel just to sleep drunk enough so that the noise and smell won't bother, then this place is for you. The place was extremely loud. The staff was not attentive. The room and bathrooms were dirty.

When I kindly asked a girl called Kanjana for a key to the disabled toilet because the main toilet was super disgusting, she didnt even wanna help ane lowkey hinted at using the showers! She didn't even try assisting! I had to look for bathrooms outside the hostel because the main one was super disgusting. Other than that, if you're staying one night you'll survive. The price is good for such a location. The location is just perfect and thats one thing I cant deny. Bathrooms, cleanliness, staff attitude.

The Antwerp City Hostel is wonderful, ... Great management too ! Have a Nice Day ! That awful disturbing street noise from silly people gathering together the even more disturbing beats of way too loud music ... The city of Antwerp MUST restrict that kind of "unnecessary" loudness ! During the day 100% ... At night a failure !

This place was dirty and unclean I got bites all over me from this place

Some people never bath, so room can smell like armpit. But we managed to get a bed closer to the window for fresh air. Windows face market… big partying and, like really noisy till 5am. People get louder as they get more drunk. Bring earplugs. Nightclub on ground floor.

Good location I got ROBBED. Will be writing a formal complain about this place. Absolutely unacceptable to let a place like this operate under the Booking plataform. Apart from that: - disrespectful roomates: intimate love scenes going on at midnight, loud shouting early in the morning - intense noise: the place sounded like a club bar until 6am, unacceptable. - the whole room had a stench of sweat and dirtyness I cannot describe

The location is unmatched, right in the city center so it’s close to lots of the tourist attractions. Also surrounded by nice restaurants and bars It would be nice to have curtains on the bunk beds as many hostels do for privacy

Location Duvet and pillow dirty (yellow/grey all over) people sleep directly on these without sheet or pillow cases and they dont care, they dont clean or replace the dirty items either. At night: I had to go to receptions over 5 times. SILENCE HOURS ARE NOT RESPECTED AND THE STAFF WILL DO NOTHING. People chatting loudly at 2AM. I went to reception and they told me to told them myself to be quiet. A woman sending sexting voice notes at 2:30AM "ay papi dejame que te haga...." (daddy let me do... to you). For over 10 minutes. I WENT TO RECEPTION. They didnt say anything to her as she stoped doing this when they entered. A man making calls on SPEAKER at 4AM. Went to reception. They came and tell them to resume. A woman (same one) slurping soup at 4:30AM and feeding other man that was not staying in our room. reception came to the room again, told them to stop. I asked about the rules, they told me eating in the room its 50€ fine but they would not take the money from her. People watching videos on their phone with volume 5:30AM. Reception came in again, saw the guy watching the video loud and DID NOT say anything to them, at this point another person on the room went like "arent you seeing him now? Is there any rules here?" At this point the guy noticed the reception guy and stoped. Right before 6AM a young homeless person started watching videos with headphones BUT laughing out loud for another 30 min. This homeless girl was skeeping directly on the mattress duvet and pillow. She had the clean sheets but she didnt care and staff either. The hostel is next (wall to wall) to a club. Music will resume at 6.

The place overall was very noisy from the bars below, the noise lasted till 4am which was a bit too much. There was only one toilet and was used by both females and males which is not the most ideal. The ladies shower, even though u needed a card to access it, there was a male taking a shower in there which made me and my friend feel unsafe. The place and the people that were in the hostel were also dodgy and shady, coming back a bit late made me and my friends feel unsafe too. There was a lot of men that would just stare at us (we’re girls) while we were brushing our teeth’s and while we were entering our rooms.

I liked the close proximity to everything the smell, the bathrooms, and the cleanliness
