Everything was great. Good location. Comfortable rooms. Free bicycles to ride. All good.

Spacious rooms and very helpful staff! Close to tourist attractions!e-bike rental is available and that made my solo travel there memorable as I could explore the area as much as I wanted. Nothing!

Very unprofessional service. My reservation was confirmed on Booking.com, but when I arrived the hotel said my room had been given to another guest and no rooms were available. I had to find another place at the last minute and pay more. Be careful when booking here.

The accommodation offered everything a traveller could wish for, either free of charge or for a very modest fee. We particularly appreciated the water dispenser in the communal area, which allowed us to refill our bottles and reduce our use of plastic. The electric bicycles were impressively powerful and equipped with strong batteries; even after a full day out we had used less than 20% of the charge. We would happily recommend Sapumal Lodge to anyone visiting the area.

Nothin AT ALL

The owner and manager were extremely friendly and helpful from the moment I booked, giving me the information and assistance I needed to get there and around town. They even provide bikes and have motorised bikes available - a fantastic way to see the ancient city and surrounds. The rooms and bathroom were clean and of a good size. I had just arrived in the country and lovely manager made sure that I was comfortable. They provide a generous breakfast at a small cost. I always like a shower curtain in the bathroom, however, that does not seem to be a common thing in Sri Lanka.

This hotel was amazing. It was a great value and provided such high quality. The rooms are immaculate with comfy beds and the AC and hot shower were great. The staff (Shan/Malinda) were super nice and helpful with planning my days there. The e-bikes are such an excellent way to tour the city. The hotel was well situated - close to the ancient city and Mihintale and walking distance to a few nice restaurants. Highly recommend!!

Very welcoming hosts. A very comfortable hotel tucked on a side street. The verranda was very nice to have A little difficult to get to town/sites if you don’t have transportation. It was too hot to use the bikes. But there are plenty of tuktuks to be found. Use pick me app to order tuktuk.

Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. The owner/ staff were absolutely lovely — they helped to arrange a tuktuk driver to bring us around the city at a decent price (shoutout to Pala) and helped book a safari tour too. At an additional cost, we also had a delicious breakfast spread.
