La chambre était spacieuse, très confortable, parfaitement propre, et la climatisation ainsi que le Wi-Fi fonctionnaient parfaitement tout au long de notre séjour. Tout était exactement conforme à la description. Ce qui a rendu cet endroit si spécial, c'est avant tout Janaka. Il était toujours prêt à nous aider, que ce soit pour les transports, les restaurants ou l'organisation d'activités. Nous avons également passé de longs moments à discuter avec lui, et c'était un vrai plaisir d'en apprendre davantage sur le Sri Lanka, sa culture et son mode de vie grâce à nos échanges. Il nous proposait régulièrement une tasse de thé, ce qui nous a vraiment fait nous sentir comme à la maison. Nous avons demandé à Janaka s'il pouvait nous préparer les petits-déjeuners pendant notre séjour et nous faire découvrir des spécialités sri-lankaises. Chaque matin, il nous a régalés avec une sélection différente de plats traditionnels, accompagnés de fruits frais et d'eau. Tout était absolument délicieux, les portions étaient très généreuses, et nous avons adoré découvrir de nouvelles saveurs chaque jour. C'est rapidement devenu l'un des meilleurs moments de notre séjour. Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans cette guest house et nous repartons avec d'excellents souvenirs. Nous recommandons cet établissement les yeux fermés à toute personne de passage dans la région !

I had booked this property just to meet the amazing host mentioned in other reviews, and boy was i so happy i did. My journey to Anuradhapura was a rather exhaustive day, as i had travelled from Mt. Lavinia after a very tiring scuba experience. I reached there late in the night after covering Ruwanmeli Saya, probably around 1030PM in the night. Coming to the property, the location is exact and hopefully your driver can spot it easily, as it is like any other normal homes in the surroundings. I was greeted by the most lovely host, a kind, smiling, well-spoken elderly gentleman, who had the most charming nature. He was well-versed with local sri lankan culture, accommodating us in their large hall room, with excellent furniture, and speaking to us about the local public and culture. He stayed up till late in the night, with not an ounce of tiredness. That is kind of hard to comeby in this hotel business, as most people vanish after the checkin. He gave us some hot tea. And after enquiring about our early morning checkout for the Wilpattu safari, he made sure arrangements for a takeaway breakfast were made. Our driver was happy too, as there is a room on the outside for them to stay. There is a lawn area. The room was spacious with mosquito nets, and perfect air conditioning. All in all, in your travel, Once you come towards Anuradhapura, amidst this rural quiet town, if you want an authentic Sri Lankan homestay experience, and interaction with a genuine, patient sri lankan host, this place and its host live upto the reputation of the reviews provided. Nothing. Everything was perfect. Only cash accepted, so pl carry Sri Lankan Rupee cash.

The place was clean and quiet as I expected. The owner was very healpful and friendly. We didnt take meals from them. It was a fair deal for the price. But I reserved the place with the information posted that the distance from the ruwanwally saaya to this location is 4.5km. But it turned out to be more than 8 km. The appearance can get improved. Good to have side tables for the bed.

I know you see this in a lot of reviews, but believe me after three weeks in Sri Lanka, I haven’t met a host this kind and genuine. An experience filled with love and hospitality. Truly heartwarming!

This accommodation was amazing. The landlord very friendly and talkative, he told us many interesting things about Sri Lanka, its people and history. He arranged for a tuk tuk for the next day which took us to all the historic sights in Anuradhapura and later in Mihintale, the tuk tuk driver was also a kind of a guide, was able to tell us many things about the places visited and always recommended a good restaurant just accordiong to our wishes. The place is in a quiet neighbourhood.

Jonny's customer service was exceptional. When we arrived, the room booked for us had a water issue due to heavy rains. He offered us another room but there was only a double in it. We had requested 2 beds. However, Jonny brought in a single bed and it worked perfectly. I highly recommend this accommodation.

The hosters were extremely friendly, attentive, and kind with us, the price is more than acceptable for the service, all of the family was here to help us to have a nice moment, we are very thankful for their sens of welcoming. Do not hesitate to come there !!!! Nothing. Everything was fine

A lovely stay hosted by wonderful people who went out of their way to advise us on things to do and how to get there.

The home stay is nice and clean. I could also have breakfast and rent a bicycle (against a small fee) I booked a tour to Wilpattu with the homestay and I paid double the price. The jeep was 12000 and I was alone, so I knew it would be more expensive. But I met other people that did the full day tour for 65 euros or at least 100 euros a day. I only had a half day tour so I got clearly ripped off ! I don't appreciate the owner being so dishonest
