Lolu Village Resort

Lolu Village Resort has the most wonderful hospitality. They treated us like family. We stayed for 6 days. The staff set up our activities for most days and we took a day to relax and swim. The swimming pool is the perfect temperature and very clear. We stayed upstairs in a room overlooking the pool. Chameen, who was our room caretaker, was so sweet. Always, making sure we were cared for, supplied, and happy. Since we stayed for 6 days we requested a refrigerator. They provided a really good fridge because of our long stay. Just wait until you eat their food. It is really wonderful. We liked Lolu Village so much we are returning. We highly recommended this resort.

Clean/ beautiful pool/ felt like home!!

I recently stayed at lolu village resort and had a great experience. The rooms were really spacious and very clean, which made the stay super comfortable. The pool area was lovely, perfect for relaxing and the food was delicious too. Overall, everything felt very well taken care of. Would definitely come back! It’s a little bit far from the city centre, but honestly, it wasn’t a big problem. the hotel was peaceful and still easy enough to get around.

We had a great two nights staying at Lolu village resort. The room was clean and quiet and featured a fridge as well as a large balcony. The AC worked very well. The owner and staff were kind and helpful. The pool was large and clean. The rooms are set in well-maintained gardens. Breakfast and dinner were very nice and ok value. Given that it is hard to find places to eat in Anuradhapura, I would still recommend eating at the hotel. The staff were able to organise a tour of the historical sites with a local English-speaking guide for us for 20 USD pp. Overall, a great stay. We will definitely come back! Outside of meal times the food is very expensive. We were disappointed by the chicken sandwiches that we ordered for lunch.

The staff were fantastic and the price was good. Bathroom and shower very good! Would have preferred top floor to ground floor. Hotel is a bit too far out from the historic city.

Exceptional

Comfortable and clean room. Lovely kind staff who always did their best to make our stay go well. Great pool. A way out of town but not too far in a tuk tuk. Clean sheets and towels ( not always there in Sri Lanka) Pool towels. Good internet. Firm but comfortable huge beds . These things didn’t affect our stay too much but some suggestions. Some bedside lamps for people who like to read . A couple more sun loungers.

Lovely clean and comfortable rooms set within a delightful garden, with a very nice, large swimming pool. There were so many beautiful birds, it was like being in a national park. The staff were all friendly, helpful and very professional. The food was really good (we asked for food Sri Lanka style and were not disappointed. The area is quiet and rural, but it is well worth wandering around the nearby lanes to see village life, and to see the wonderful wildlife in the nearby lakes (with great views across to the historic city). The tuk tuk tour of the ancient city organised for us with the knowledgeable Chandra was excellent, and very good value. Highly recommended. It rained a bit!

Amazing pool, exceptionally friendly and welcoming staff, clean rooms, a fantastic buffet at night, and a delicious breakfast – a wonderful stay in Sri Lanka!

Really nice, classy place. Stylish individual villa-type rooms with lots of windows and balconies; nice pool, airy restaurant area A bit expensive Toilet was loose and made an alarming clunking sound; not a real issue but the room ain't cheap. Good Sri Lankan breakfast, ok coffee but dinner was a bit of a non-event (for me as a vegan) and pricey.

We were unfortunate with the weather here but staff worked hard to help us overcome this. Enjoyed our meal and were able to sit outside under a balcony at our room out of the rain. Staff very helpful they found a great tuk tuk driver and on final day manager helped out by taking us to next property - thank you so much. All good.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was good. The rooms were basic, no hand towels, hair dryer etc. - not even an extra roll of toilet paper.

Everything! The garden and pool are so lovely, full of birds & flowers and the pool was crystal clean and the perfect temperature. The room was very comfortable (except the beds were a bit too hard!) and the service wonderful. Very hard beds! (And I like a firm mattress!)

Excellent food, extremely helpful staff and owner of the property. Very good English speaking capability! The rooms are very nice, spacious and modern with all facilities needed. The arranged activities and travel for me and informed before arriving about an issue with the train line and arranged a pick up for me over a distance of always 70 km. I can‘t give a better rating! Nothing
