Great location in Assisi, staff was really good. When we showed up early they accommodated, when we left late, same experience. The breakfast provided by the nearby hotel at a very reasonable price was really good too. We loved the roof top views and the living in Assisi vibe. Located between Santa Clara and San Francisco with plenty of restaurants. We were there during a very hot time of the year and we have a very hard time sleeping when our room is above 72 degrees. While the AC did work to cool down the room it was turned off when we were out for a bit in the afternoon, so our second night was a difficult sleep. On days when it's not in the 90s this would have probably been fine, but on hot days it made for unsound sleep.

The place was close to the main piazza and to the school where I was taking Italian for the week. Alter Ego is basic but very clean. My bathroom had a very nice shower, bidet, toilet and sink. The sheets were changed every two days. My host was very kind and helpful. The room was small but adequate.

Simple, uncomplicated, clean, practical, friendly, accommodating. Very good hot shower. Cold, no heat, had to ask for a blanket to go between the top sheet and thin bed spread.

The location was excelent.

The room was bigger than I expected and well organized. The bathroom was spacious! The location is in the historic center, so very convenient for exploring Assisi. The walls were a little thin, so I could hear my neighbors. I had no problem falling asleep, though.

Had a shared kitchen and food and coffee vending machine The heater stopped working for a while in the middle of the night . Rooms did not have doors between them.

Very central, cute space The owner still hasn’t texted me back about receiving my passport information and about where Ieft my keys. Check in was not accommodating at all, I had booked this months in advance and they were aware of my request.

Positive points: The location is super. Less than 150 m from the Piazza de la Comune and less than 15 min to several top locations in Assisi high town. The owner, Mr Giordano, was very friendly and gave directions for us. The bathroom have shampoo and soft soap. The cleaness was very good. The heating was eficient both in the sleeping room as well as in the bathroom. There is a small mess hall where we may eat and heat some food with a microwave. There is also a small refrigerator in the mess room that every guest may use. The vending machine in the mess room practices very fair prices for water, sodas and snacks. Negative points: The shower was broken and the water was flowing in the wrong direction. It was needed to hold the shower with one hand while washing the body. Also the shower drain got clogged and it was not possible to take a shower on the third day.. Hope Mr Giordano may fix these points for the next guest. Another point is the size of the room. If you have big lugage (we were carrying 3 cases) there is no space to open more than one case at a time.

Very close to everything. The host was fantastic and very helpful. It's a cosy little small town feeling, that's what I went there for. Right from the time I stepped in it felt very comfortable. The host helped me with carrying my luggage upstairs. Breakfast has fresh scrambled eggs and of course some variety of bread and cakes with coffee ?. You are looked after by the host personally. The location was central, walkable from the bus stop All the eateries and cathedrals were walkable. Would highly recommend. Loved my stay over Christmas ? Some steps if you have difficulty walking it could be hard to go up and down.

Check-in was very smooth, the room was super clean and the temperature was warm despite the cold outside, the location was perfect to reach all the city, the view from the window was very nice, the price quality ration is very high. Only one thing was not perfect that is the sound isolation, as I could hear the people in the next room.

The food and drinks were buffet style. The choices were varied e.g. warm pastries, eggs, fruit etc. The coffee was nice & strong! The breakfast room was arranged to give you privacy as well as space to interact with other guests. All was good!

Best place to stay in Assisi. Giordano is very friendly and always there to help. Also very close to everything, literally in the center. Would definitely recommend and come again!

Everything was perfect! Giordano was real nice owner, very accommodating and granted all our request! The room & place was clean, neat and tidy. Affordable and cheaper than the other hotels. The place is accessible to everything. Churches, shops, restaurants. The place has also cheaper city tax payment. Homely facilities & proper breakfast was real good, with fruits! We enjoyed our stay in here! Grazie Giordano! We definitely come back & stay in your place! And will recommend to family and friends!?? Nothing, almost perfect!
