Hotel Giotto was wonderful! Beautiful, convenient location. Staff was great and helpful. . They upgraded our room to a suite with a beautiful valley view! We had an awesome stay! Love this hotel!!

The location is remarkable. The views of the Assisi valley are spectacular. You will be woken up by church bells and swallows (swifts) that make it magical. Full breakfast buffet, bar service, large open spaces for gathering with guests, rooms are updated and comfortable. Assisi is on a mountain with narrow, cobblestone roads. Taxis are helpful if you’re not about steep inclines but if you don’t walk around you miss the history, arts, and charm that comes with it.

Gorgeous property that has an amazing terrace view in the back for breakfast/dinner/apertivos. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the location of the property is great, and rooms were comfortable. Shower pressure was great and water got quite hot. We were in Assisi for a wedding and this was one of the suggested properties. My friends and I had three rooms total and we were on room 1, which is several levels below the lobby since the property is on a hill. The room has visible dark mold and peeling ceilings, and unfortunately there were two evenings where very large cockroaches were not only found in my room, but also spotted on my friends’ rooms. I definitely understand cockroaches exist in this world but was surprised to see them on multiple occasions in our rooms. I am sure the rooms on higher floors are nicer but would not recommend those on basement levels. Everything else was comfortable and seemed clean. We did have to request an iron and ironing board from the front desk and received a mini ironing board that was falling apart. We just ironed formal clothes on the bed instead.

Too many hotels are cutting back on services- no front desk always on hand, no restaurant, no parking attendant, etc. I stay at hotels often, and it is very rare, in my experience, to see an old style hotel with excellent and professional service. I highly enjoyed my stay. The views were fantastic, from my balcony, the bar and the restaurant. The food at the restaurant was truly exceptional. The stay overall was fantastic, and I highly recommend the hotel for the facilities, but especially for the staff! I am grateful for a wonderful stay and an experience that well exceeded my expectations! Nothing!
