You arrive at the Assisi train station/Santa Maria degli Angeli, which is down the hill from the city of Assisi. So, you have to take a cab, which costs about 25 euros, or the bus 3 euros which takes you to the city east side. It is a 15-minute ride. The hotel is right at the city entrance on the east side near the bus stop. The people of Assisi provided a memorable experience, and a nice breakfast was included in the room price. The city itself is wonderful, bustling with shops and vibrant energy, making it easy to explore on foot. Assisi is situated on a hill and runs east to west. At the western end, you can find the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi. In contrast, the Chiesa di Santa Maria Maggiore/Santuario della Spogliazione is located at the opposite end, near the Piazza del Vescovado, the burial site of San Carlo Acutis. The walk between these two points takes about thirty minutes, but you'll likely want to stop and admire every historical site related to the life of Saint Francis along the way. The train station is down the hill from Assisi, you have to take the bus C 3 esuros runs every 20 minutes to the center of the city on the east side or a cab for 25 euros

The room was a tad small, but we were only there one night so it was fine. The woman who checked us in was so helpful and pleasant.!

The location can’t be beat, and Vlasi was wonderfully welcoming. He helped with supper reservations and made our stay very comfortable. The hotel itself is very clean, and the breakfast is wonderful! The only challenge was that two of the four beds in our room were very hard, so if you’re sensitive to mattress type then you could mention it to Vlasi and I’m sure he would accommodate because his customer service is excellent.
