Rixos President Astana

That there is a cigar lounge/Irish Pub...but even there, the draught beer wasn't cold enough, and the food was very average. First, 20000 tenge (43 dollars) is incredibly expensive. And for that money, you get staff at the egg station that don't speak any English, or don't want to. I left my omelet to get bread and came back to see it gone. And the final straw was ALL three coffee machines were either broken or really, really BAD coffee. For a Turkish-owned hotel, this is not only unacceptable, but embarrassing!!! The coffee in the room was better than the coffee at the 40-dollar breakfast. I've been there several times, and breakfast used to be much better. Rooms are exactly the same with no improvement. Wind is coming through the windows. Unfortunately, I don't think I will stay there again.

The staff was very welcoming. The hotel was spotless. Location is very good.

This a great property, the longest standing 5* hotel in Astana (with the Radisson) and never fails to meet expectations. The spa is great, too, with a large swimming-pool, hammam... The food is a bit hit or miss. Some dishes are plain average, others are great.

Location is very good and staff are super nice and responsive Smoking smell in our floor was very strong. Not just in the rooms but corridors as well. The room was very fancy but outdated style

Cleaning stuff did this time very unprofessional work. Cups uncleaned for whole 3 days. Some taken and not returned back, how to make the tea or coffee in the room. Bar refrigerator locked, why? Empty bottles from water did not taken out left for whole time in the room. This time your cleaning stuff was real mess.

Everything was great except the bathtub. The bathtub is equipped with a jacuzzi, but it was in an unsanitary condition. Algae has been observed when turning on the jacuzzi.

The Rixos President Astana is a great business and tourist hotel. It is well situated. Has a fantastic Turkish restaurant that does a very reasonable 4-course lunch with tea with very polite and helpful waitresses. However, at the Palm Court for snacks and tea, the tea is more expensive than in London, and the staff is less friendly, with one rushing after me as she thought I had not paid but her colleague had just taken the money. So little communication between colleagues! The swimming pool and other leisure facilities, sauna/steam room, and there is a small gym that I did not use are great, clean, and well maintained. You are given a towel on arrival. I just used my dressing gown in the room. Unfortunately, in Kazakhstan, they still insist on "blocking" the amount of your hotel cost on your credit card, which is annoying. When I checked out, I wanted to use another card to avoid bank fees instead of the one I had given on arrival at 4.30am after an overnight flight, and the receptionist was unable to remove the block, so I had to use that card, which then charged me GBP 25.00, very annoying. Horrendous WIFI. I tried to work in my room, but it was hopeless, and I had to come down to the lobby, which is not much fun at 7pm when you want to relax! Rixos, please sort out your WiFi!!!

I'm Staying at Rixos on every occasion when I'm in Astana, never had a problem with the room. This time it was hot, it felt like sauna for the whole time. The technician came and he simply said there is nothing he can do about it. ? Mini fridge wasn't working, the drinks were so warm it was impossible to drink. It's unacceptable, especially with the prices that they have for the mini bar drinks(and everything in general) I get it, it's Rixos but 5000tg for the 50ml of warm absolute vodka…ummm no, thank you)

Best hotel in Astana, although expensive than most hotels, but worth it. Exceptional fitness and pool services.

We love Rixos Hotels in Dubai, Almaty and Aktau but never stayed in the one in Astana. Loved this hotel as well. Got upgraded this time around and loved the presidential suite. + lovely ladies at the reception especially Assel who helped checking us in + cosy and comfortable beds + atmosphere and vibe of the hotel is so relaxing, quiet and friendly Breakfast could be improved a bit but thats if we be very picky. Didn’t ruin the stay at all.

Food is great During cold time of the year it's little bit colder in the rooms. If you put fan on 2nd level to heat it up it's too noisy

Exceptional

The Rixos President Astana is the best hotel in Astana. Located in the heart of the new city of Astana, all tourist sites are within walking distance from the hotel, and residents do not need a car except for traveling to distant places. The hotel staff are highly professional and proficient in English; they always smile and handle guests wonderfully. Upon our arrival at the hotel, we were greeted by Mr. Artur, the receptionist, who upgraded our rooms for free and provided us with many conveniences during our stay in Astana. Thank you very much, Mr. Artur, you are an example of the wonderful Kazakh youth and reflect a beautiful image of the Kazakh people. Also, the customer relations staff provided us with many services such as flight bookings and tourist guidance, so thanks to all of them, you have been wonderful. As for the hotel itself, it is a beautiful oasis with wonderful seating areas amidst the trees in all hotel lobbies, making you feel like you are in a garden rather than a hotel. The food is also excellent in the hotel restaurants, catering to all preferences and tastes. All hotel staff are wonderful and strive for the comfort of the guests, with the majority of them speaking English fluently. The hotel rooms are beautiful, splendid, and clean. Surely, Rixos Astana will be my favorite home anytime I visit the city of Astana. NOTHING

There was no door to the bathroom. Little uncomfortable.

Beautiful decor, great service at the reception and restaurant! They gave me free sim card that made my life there so much easier. Room was huge, comfortable.

Its nice hotel with amazing spa! The swimming pool is big, they have 2 nice Finish saunas and steam one and Haman as well. The hotel has nice gym and there is Irish pub opened 24/7 as well. A bit pricy.
