The staff were excellent
-
It was nice view We could relax near to beach
-
The hotel has very significant smell of old stuff and it is almost everywhere which made my experience spoiled and could not relax and enjoy. Some rooms had even molds. The hotel itself, dining restaurants and rooms require significant renovation. The furniture require replacement and carpets and curtains should definitely be replaced as they seems to have absorbed the old smell. Almost 95% of the staff do not speak English and very hard to communicate.

The location is pretty nice, lots of onsen and comfortable staying hope to comeback again with my family.
-
Fully featured breakfast and dinner. Talented piano players. Immense Showa era charm. No complaints.
-
The dinner and breakfast omg it’s a feast! It was fabulous will definitely visit again!
-
Spectacular view Traffic to and from station was heavy.
-
Heaven! Between the onsens, the pj’s and the beautiful views and lovely green space across the hotel. I was so relaxed and it was such a value for it all. The buffet food is not great…it’s not bad…but it’s not as good as most Japan cuisine. It’s a large buffet spread with a lot of options but it was the same every day and if I was there for an extended stay, I’d have a hard time eating the same buffet quality food over and over.

The rate was a little high I thought.

Lovely retro property that has been well maintained.

The food the buffet was delicious and have so many different varieties ,the main dining Nishiki is so huge ,it’s old fashioned but so beautiful we love it, it has a really really excellent view, the whole hotel is old fashioned but really beautiful. The onsen is soothing and onsen view was excellent and they have complete amenities. The game center is fun they have these old game machines like you’d go back in time. The indoor pool is fun too and it’s good that it’s open all year the pool waters temperature is just right and the staff there are really kind. All the staff are kind and smiling it makes you feel welcome. The water server is a good service too. We also love the chandeliers. We stayed at Ocean wing room 1011, the mirror beside the window ,I hope not all room is like that. You can actually see the other room while you’re using it and maybe the people on that room can see you too at that mirror, we want to open the curtains because the view is beautiful but the mirrors angle is not so good. We really have to be careful not to see the people on the other room.

It was comfortable space with nice view

Good staff and the hotel is relatively clean. Parking facility is a bit off site as well as charge.

Our room had a large window facing the ocean. Our view included a small island called Hatsushima, vague shadow of Ohshima and Itoh. The hotel is famous for the architecture of the economic babble era in the Showa period , around 1980 to early 1990, grandeur decorations. Their huge main dining room, capacity of 500 seats, is something to see. The buffets include Japanese (tempra, sushi, grilled fish, yakisoba, miso soup, rice, etc) and Western ( French, roast beef/polk/chicken, warm vegetables, etc) and great assortment of desserts. There were all day shuttle buses to and from Atami train station. However, you can use taxis or Uber which were pretty cheap. The hospitality room was really nice and comfortable with beautiful view and free wine, tea, coffee and juice. The Onsen in our building (Horizon) was nice with both indoor and outdoor baths. There were several more in the other building (Ocean) which we didn’t use. The place shows its age and needs some repairs and updates. The room furniture is pretty old and outdated. The carpet in the hospitality room was torn in places. A bit overpriced for what it offers.

Perhaps its next to the ocean, the room has unpleasant smells. The food quality of buffet has room for improvement.

One night definitely wasn’t enough! The room and bathroom were very clean, and the staff were respectful and helpful throughout my stay. Special thanks to Mr. Horie, whose perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness made the experience even more memorable!! I chose the ocean-view room, and it exceeded my expectations! The view from the public bath was stunning, and both breakfast and dinner were beautifully prepared and delicious. I'd love to come back again. Highly recommended! The only minor drawback was that some of the hot springs are located in a separate building, which requires a short walk. However, I didn’t mind at all and actually enjoyed it as a bit of light exercise.

every thing good to me.

Location is superb? The interior design looks old and dark
