Location and good service

All-You-Can-Drink Bar @ Dinner I have lived in Japan for ten years, visited all 47 prefectures, and stayed in many hotels. This one ranks among the top ten worst I’ve experienced. We checked in at 17:00 and were very hungry. When we booked we were told dinner was a buffet from 17:30–20:00, but on arrival we were told dinner was limited and the first available slot was 19:15 — a 2 hour 15 minute wait. Breakfast plans were also disrupted: the only available times were 07:00 or 08:30, and the later time didn’t work with our train schedule. We reluctantly accepted 07:00, which meant going to bed later and getting up earlier because of poor customer service. While waiting for dinner, we tried to stay positive and visited the onsens, but they were extremely overcrowded, especially the outdoor bath. Back in our room we learned the karaoke room — advertised as free but available only by reservation — was fully booked for the night. Between the dinner delay, the crowded baths, and the unavailable karaoke, the hotel repeatedly let us down. The hotel’s policies felt outdated and needlessly burdensome. We had to change plans on both days to accommodate rigid rules that seemed avoidable in 2025. If I had to sum up the experience in one word it would be disappointed. To make matters worse, thin walls meant we were kept awake all night by noisy neighbors. Furthermore, in the morning we asked if we could store our backpacks at the front desk to visit Atami Castle and were told to use ¥700 lockers at the port — laughing-out-loud. This is the first time in ten years I’ve had a hotel say “NO” to storing luggage, especially after a ¥390,000 one‑night stay. Get with the times. 2-0-2-5 Oh yes, and of course the additional "Onsen tax" add-on expense was not included in the High Price and cost extra upon check-in -- of course.

The shuttle bus on time and accommodating … Food was not so good … not enough choices and wasn’t properly filled in ….

The hotel was old but nice and worth the price ? The balcony was untidy we we're scared to open to view the ocean. And there's only one elevator for everyone to use.
-
The building is quite old and needs renovations.

The Buffett and views were a highlight. The staff speak some English and were super helpful. The room was large. The building was a little bit run down and old, bathroom and balcony could probably do with a spruce up. But these weren’t deal breakers for us. We loved the vibe of the seaside town and the Buffett so much that we would be back.

Great location next to a ferry and 10 min walk from the beach. Amazing ocean view from the room and restaurant. Good dinner and breakfast. Playroom with table tennis and game machines- nice for families to avoid the heat. The hotel is a bit old, but clean, with a small open air onsen at the roof- overall, excellent value for money for a family holiday.

Onsen, great views, amazing buffe The room still had smoking smells from a previous era when smoking was allowed. Rooms were a little dark Beds could be softer. But that’s just me…

We booked the family room and The room was spacious, the staff are friendly, the food were good. My family were very happy with the place The buffet at night refill quite slow but with an overwhelming number of guess, it's understandable.

Location was nice, very close to the port, the castle, and the beach. A lot of facilities were available in the hotel. Breakfast was good. And the room had a beautiful view of the sea. The public bath was smaller than I expected.

near in the beach bout my 2 days stay at the hotel the food is serving is the same menu at my first day i didn't expect it disappointed

Decent location was about the only good thing about this place. Very old and tired facility. Upgrades badly needed. Common areas old and poorly maintained.
