Just initially finding the property. but besides that. No complaints.

Quiet place nice room and bed and clean. Close to the beach and bus station. But slightly far from the Atami station. Not that good for luggage carriers. But can take bus from the station to get there.

*Affordable price *The location is close to the Ginza shopping street and the beach *The staff communication before check-in was smooth *Adequate basic stuffs like water station and tissue papers * The common area is not separated from the sleeping area, which makes noise control difficult * There is a wide mix of guests, and some do not follow basic rules—particularly younger guests who were talking loudly after midnight and early in the morning. *Not recommended for anyone who is sensitive to noises, you will be able to hear loud snoring all night from many directions since there are 20 pods in 1 room, hard to sleep * Limited facilities, with only one shower available for men and one for women *The bathroom area wasn’t cleaned daily

Exceptionally clean dormitory-style accommodation close to Atami Ginza street. Bunk bed cubicles have zero airflow when the curtain is closed. Because of this, sleeping at this accommodation is very hot and uncomfortable. This would be fixed if each bunk cubicle had a vent with fan to move air, but as-is the sleeping arrangement is simply too hot.

The property was clean and spacious, you had as much privacy as you wanted and was the perfect place for my extra long stay. Very relaxed and laid back with very nice and friendly staff. Location was perfect, near the beach and port if you want to hop for a day trip to the islands and once in a lifetime views of Mount Fuji , and bus stop if you want to zip up to the station and main shopping street. I highly recommend and will definitely choose to stay here again next time!

Clean bathroom and bed -all beds are located in one room almost 25 beds -its too hot inside the capsule especially in the morning -no staff on duty -only one shower each for male and female

Nothing major, but the shared spaces are attached directly to the sleeping quarters (i.e. no door to separate them), so you will probably be woken up when people come in late and don’t respect the quiet hours. Of course, this can happen in any hostel though.

It was a bit far from station but near sun beach so it was good

  • Engine customer Aug 2025

now is August, since the air conditioning isn't strong enough and the cool wind doesn't go to each bed equally, it's sooo hot and I can hardly fall asleep

I was a great place to stay in Atami for and affordable price worth the value. The air conditioner didn’t went to my capsule. So it was kind of hot.

We contacted the property early to ask about leaving our luggage early and got no answer. On turning up early, no one was there, and no signs made sense. You have to climb 3 flights of stairs that are slippery when wet. None of the phone numbers or line phone numbers worked even on a Japanese phone. no emails got answered. Genuinely, the owners do not care at all about customers. You can arrive at 4 pm. The ipad doesn't work, so they had name and codes pinned to the door so anyone could get in if they wanted to. My pod bed had the previous occupants check-in tag still pinned with in the bed walls so no one cleans the walls or wipes them. There's 20 beds, 2 showers - 1 female, 1 male, and mixed communal sinks and toilets. The bedroom is very hot at night, even in spring with the ac. There's no ventilation in the pods, so you have to sleep with the curtain open or cook yourself. The communal area just echoes noise around the rest of the bed area, so it's very noisy, especially with loud people, or the TV on. It honestly was too much a problem staying here for the stress and the staircase. If you have issues and try to talk to the staff, he hides in the office.

Pool / guitar room is next to the only guests room, separate just by a door that doesn't close. People would play guitar at 6 am. Toilets and shower cabins are separated by gender (1 shower 2 toilets each) but all inside the same mixed room, which felt uncomfortable.

It has everything you need; an easy check-in, a clean bathroom and living environment, a decent bed capsule and quite a good location. I slept OK overall, and considering I travelled during a touristy weekend (national holiday due to Emperor's Birthday), I was very happy to find accommodation having booked at the last moment. It's pretty cool that there's a living area, decent furniture, a (mini) pool table and a guitar. Without going into details, the check-in process was efficient but, in my opinion, unsafe. I believe that the current format creates the potential for safety risks and moral hazard, relying entirely on trust. Aside from this, the numbers on the beds are not abundantly clear at first glance, which makes it easy to accidentally take someone else's bed (in my opinion), and the walls between the capsules were not particularly thick; I am quite a heavy sleeper, yet I was woken up at 5AM by someone leaving next to me, and at 7AM due to people talking in the lobby. This is still OK value for what it is, but I did pay twice the price for accommodation in comparison to Odawara, while I felt my accommodation there was safer and cosier.
