Beautiful views, amazing staff You must have adventurous palate to eat here. Would have been nice if there was an option for Western breakfast.

Warning to all American tourist: the breakfast is inedible. The breakfast consists of a lot of raw fish and pickles and rice. This did not seem like a good breakfast. The dinners were equally challenging and that they served raw lobster that was also an edible. They insisted that we take our shoes off and they provided us with slippers. But the slippers did not fit because Japanese feet are very small. I'm a size 11. And there has no slippers for me so I had to walk around in size 7 slippers nearly falling over constantly. They were not very hospitable to accommodate American Tourists and I suggest that American tourist avoid this location. see above

Did not enjoy the food

Beautiful ocean view with onsen on the balcony. Food were traditional Japanese course dinner and breakfast. Nothing

Private bath on balcony

Public bath was rather disappointing but more than offset by the niceness of the private in-room bath.

The staff were uniformly friendly and my wife and I greatly appreciated their attempts to communicate with us in English. We were particularly impressed with the front desk and waitering staff in the teppanyaki hall. We thought the in-suite snacks were sub-standard for an establishment of this prestige. We also stayed at the Kyoto Fufu and we thoroughly enjoyed their snacks. When we arrived at the train station, there was ~10 minutes of confusion as we looked for our shuttle bus; a sign on the side of the shuttle or a placard held by the driver would have alleviated the stress.

Phenomenal service and excellent dinner. Private onsen and room are very well designed. Bath, shower, and restroom are great. Going through the shower area to the onsen is a good design. Small touches like a great hair dryer were so good that it inspired us to get a hair dryer ourselves. They gave us gifts since we were on our honeymoon. They paid attention to small preferences for dinner, and tried their best to speak English. They offer shuttle service. The massage service was great as well. Nothing

This onsen has a reasonable location. Just a short shuttle bus ride to Atami station. The in room onsen bath was very spacious and good. Shuttle service is free for a once a day round trip while you stay and made by your requested schedule. Food was just in the OK range. Certainly not Kaiseki quality as offered. Variety was good but too may small dishes and frequently overcooked fish.

We enjoyed both the Japanese and Western style breakfasts. Both were amazing.

Everything, was such an amazing experience Everything is fantastic. It’s expensive but an amazing experience & well worth treating ourselves

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay that we decided to extend it by another night. The room was spacious, open air onsen was relaxing, and the view was gorgeous. We had the kaiseki dinner and it was the best meal I had in Japan. Staff was amazing and super accommodating.

The moment we walked in we were greeted with an amazing view of the ocean, it took our breath away. We were served a welcome drink in front of this view and all the stress from traveling melted away as we took a moment to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of nature. The property was amazing but there were mosquitos flying around our outdoor hot spring. It would be nice to find a way to repel them. Also the padding on the lounge chairs on the balcony was thin.. i was surprised to feel the hardness of the chair when i sat down.

I loved the room floor plan where the toilet was on the other side of the room, and how the shower was situated between the bathroom and onsen. The private onsen size and view were wonderful. The meal plan was pricey but delightful with great attention to detail. Hotel location is perfect for a private and remote retreat as there’s only a little to do downtown. Strolling the neighborhoods was fun. Helpful transportation to/from Atami Station was a relief. Upon entering the lobby, the ocean view is breathtaking. Our servers during breakfast and dinner were humorous, friendly and courteous. The farewell on our last day as they send us off is bittersweet and memorable. Very classy. We checked in early and it was a little awkward to be left sitting in the lobby with no instructions for where to place luggage and what sightseeing can be done while waiting for our room to be ready without asking. Not enough space for our suitcases which crowded the room. The lighting was a bit dim in the bathroom at night.

Modern, exquisite views, perfect mix of western and Japanese
