Athens Psiri Hotel

Great hotel for short stay in Athens! It is about a 10min walk to the main area of Athens and was located in a great area near many shops and restaurants. Our room was spacious and comfortable N/A

The hotel staff is helpful, very friendly and nice. The room is large and there is also an elevator to the room. The location is good, close to everything you need. The shower is very small.

The room is big and clean. The shower pressure is very good. Friendly stuff, 20 mins nice walk to Monastiraki. Our baggage was delayed and fortunately there was Marks & Spencer close by and we were able to buy some clothing.

The room was small but had all amenities, including a full sized shower, AC, and a mini fridge. Great spot if you're just looking for a place to get ready for the day or go to sleep, but don't need to spend a lot of time. Desk space would be cramped if you're looking to do any work in the room. The key card system plays a loud tone when it activates and the doors close quite heavily if other guests aren't careful. It's hard not to be disturbed by the comings and goings of others.

The location

Staff are very friendly and helpful. Location is great, short walk to Monastiraki and shorter to Psiri tabernas,though the street uitself is a side street and can feel a little sketchy at night. Bed is ok, shower is ok though no curtain. Enough outlets; hairdryer provided. Wifi was ok. Small fridge. 24/7 reception. Air conditioning in room but no remote for it, There is no breakfast or other food. You can buy a few basics from the fridge in the lobby, and you can buy food at stores and keep it in the fridge. No kettle or coffee maker; you can buy coffee in the lobby. My room had a terrible view, just the other wall of the building, couldn't even see whether it was sunny, rainy etc. No shower curtain and the nozzle came off ; one had to hold it in one hand to shower. Remote and TV didn't seem to really work well.

It was in a great neighbourhood - not so touristy - felt closer to the real Athens. The place wasn’t fancy, but it was super comfortable and clean - everything we needed (except perhaps a kettle). The people at the desk were lovely, helped to orient us, etc. We’d certainly return.

Good location near the market, renovated inside, single room was on the interior and very quiet. Not beautiful but surprisingly nice and comfortable for a low budget 2 star.

Returning the keycard every time we left was strange

I interacted with 2 staff members during my stay and they were extremely helpful as it was the first my friends and were in Athens so they were happy to answer our questions and to give recommendations about where to eat for example. I was able to book a room for my 2 friends and they handled our payments separately. The hotel booked our taxi to the ferry terminal and got us a good deal. 24 hour reception was awesome. Not far from the train station (as long as you know your way). Upon check-in we were advised of the hot water issue which wasn't resolved during our stay (2 nights), possibly because it was the weekend. Didn't like that the bathroom was on another level in my room.
