Zeus Hostel

The hostel location is in a very touristic area. Because of it I saved lots of time .

They only provide paid lockers for those staying in rooms. In some rooms, there is only one stair to reach the upper bed, which is absurd.

Rooftop.... The rooftop was very small, contrary to what was shown in the advertisement.

24h check-in. Central location. The Staff was nice

Location, despite finding out that it’s central to drug trafficking and hookers, I was still able to find amenities nearby. Cleanliness was poor. Rooftop, washrooms are in poor condition. Upon washing my hands the water literally went onto my feet because the pipe was disconnected. One day going to the bathroom there was two poo droppings on the floor. (Disgusting!) I complained to front desk about this and they said nothing can be done until morning when cleaning crew comes. My friend grabbed two bags and hand sanitizer and proceeded to clean this mess up!!! No guest should have to stoop to this level! The see through shower stalls is weird and the ladies is missing an attachment to keep anyone in the hallway from seeing you inside showering, not to mention the nearly see-through shower walls that divide the men’s side from the women’s side. Maybe consider a floor for all women and another floor for all men?

The blanket you receive is quite rough so not very comfy. There are no bug nets on the windows so mosquitos come inside and made my two nights quite rough getting bitten several times and not being able to sleep well. Plus I had a bunk mate who was staying for around 2 weeks and was 1 week in and his clothes reeked so bad I tried to spend as little time as possible in the room but I know that isn't the hostel's fault. Furthermore, no soap in the showers and the water turns boiling hot even when set at the middle temperature and more often than not no matter what heat you set the shower to it would eventually turning boiling hot or very cold.

I have stayed here many times before, as the location is superb, and the mattresses are very comfortable. The staff do an excellent job of cleaning. And I love talking to staff member Zayid, from the West Bank (Israel area).....! There were some AWFUL WOMEN that were roommates (in two different rooms --- the first room I left after less than 24 hours....!) that were so MEAN and SELFISH (not compromising on the temperature of the room, not allowing me to use the computer desk with them.....etc)...... When I complained to the staff at the front desk, they INITIALLY shrugged it off...until I sort of "STARED them DOWN".....! .... This facility is truly BARE-BONES, in that there is no lounge area to meet other guests, and there is no proper kitchen --- only a very rough-looking rooftop terrace (that has potential, but no investment). The balcony doors on the front-facing rooms do not properly close. There is no place to eat a meal (no tables available) unless you use the terrace, which is not possible during rain or cold weather.....as there is no overhead cover.

A nice receptionist will make your experience unbelievable regardless any other valuation aspects. The receptionist was extremely nice and I did not care much about anything else. I would like to thank her for her attitude. I checked in on 1st of May at midnight. The internet was not the best knowing that I was in the 2nd floor, the building itself is old and needs maintenance, the cleanliness could have been better.

Receptionist was very nice and informative. Had a very small private room. It was definitely a smoking room. Smell of stale smoke. Window opened onto an inner junk area. No fresh air.

There was a russian speaking woman who was extremely nice. Bed bugs, broken tap, broken toilets, cracked walls, broken doors of terasse
